CIN3 discovered at Pathology!

Hi Everyone

I finally had my post-op with the doctor last Thursday - after 9 1/2 weeks. Everything is healing well - including the incision. I have been given the all clear to resume all activities.

The doctor explained that my pain was caused by many fibroids degenerating (dying off).

Then the doctor advised that they found CIN3 in my cervix which was removed during the surgery. My pap smears have been clear, so this was a HUGE surprise.

I am so grateful!

Hi Pauline,

Glad to hear everything is healing well and that you've been cleared for all activities. Seems the surgery might have been a blessing with the CIN3 being found. Will you require any further treatment or the fact that the cervix is now gone means everything is okay?

Take care.......Karen

CIN3 discovered at Pathology!

Hi Karen

thanks for that. I have to go in for annual or bi-annual vault smears. Similar to a pap smear, but it focuses on the vaginal tissues. A small price to pay for peace of mind.

Hi Pauline ,

Yes a very small price to pay so make sure you keep those appointments for you own well being. Personally I'd be doing them as regularly as they have suggested for peace of mind.

Hope you recovery continues well. Even though you are cleared you will still have days where you'll be so tired even though you've done little and that's all par for the course.

Take care...........Karen
