Phantom Pain???

Okay, I'm four weeks post-op, and I have cramps that feel like menstrual cramps - but I don't HAVE a uterus anymore. What is up with that? (I kept my ovaries).

Phantom Pain???

Hi I am 10weeks post op now after total hyst, my gyaeny told me he would take my overies as well as the uterus would go for the bleeding and my overies for the pain as you can still have pain with overies, this may be your case I don't know why you have had a hysterectomy. It could just be as simple as ligaments etc that have been swollen that are pulling now as they shrink back to size, if you are worried I would consult your doctor as with anything that worries you it is just a phone call away and will stop you worrying al night & day that something is wrong. If you have had any discharge or increase in bleeding ,or more urinary frequency you might have an infection but this is just a guess again I would contact you GP if you are worried. Don't do too much and listen to your body.
I hope you feel better soon let me know how you get on.

Hugs

Phantom Pain???

I complained to my GYN of menstrual cramps right around my six week mark. She thought it was phantom pain. They continued for several weeks but now I can say I have not had any lately. I believed the phantom pain thing.
Good luck, I hope that is all that it is for you.

TAH, ovaries still here and working well
