How much time did you take off work?

I went in for my 6 week check up on January 28 and my doctor told me he not comfortable with me going back until 2/18. It will be 8 weeks. I am happy for this because I was really not ready physically or mentally.

How much time did you take off work?

Anybody out there with a TVH that has gone back to work? My dr told me today at my 2 week post op that I can go back in 2 weeks, so that's a total of 4 weeks out. I'm a 1st grade school teacher and I move a lot but I am starting to feel good, so I think(??????) I'll be o.k.

How much time did you take off work?

I had a TVH on January 15th, and plan on going back to work on Feb.18.
I am a bookeeper, so my work revolves mostly around my desk, computer & file cabinet.
I *think* I will be ready, but the though of going through the first week scares me. I guess I am affraid of not being able to handle a full day of work physically.

Anybody else out there who's had a TVH and returned to work after 4-5 weeks?

How much time did you take off work?

Renatka, you are a week ahead of me. How do you feel now? Ae you out doing things? What is your energy level like? I go out for a walk every day and today I walked 1 1/2 miles and I feel fine. Any other TVH people out there that can offer advice??

How much time did you take off work?

wvuvavt,

I am actually feeling great, which scares me a bit, because I *know* I am not fully healed yet, so I might easily overdo it, and regret it later.
I have been trying to walk every day (a mile or so), doing some office work from home (still can't sit at the computer for more than an hour at a time - my back is really starting to hurt!).
Overall, I feel better than I though I would be at this stage.
What is your energy level? Noticed any back / muscles pains?

How much time did you take off work?

I had an LAVH on Jan 21. Dr said I could return to work after 2 wks but my boss wanted me to take at least 4 to make sure I was ready to come back. I go back on Feb 21 so work 2 days and then off for the weekend. I have a desk job, however, it requires lifting heavy files.

There was no way I could have went back to work this week. I am hoping the fuzzy brain, insomnia, bowel issues clear up in the next 2 wks.

How much time did you take off work?

Renatka I am definitely having back pains and I forgot to ask the doctor about that. So what's up with the back pain? My energy level isn't great but it's better than it was. The good news is that I am sleeping fine, so that will help my energy level.
ipswichtown, I had my surgery the same day as you. I am scheduled to go back a couple of days before you. I also have the fuzzy head and my dr says it's the ovaries being gone and my body getting used to it.

How much time did you take off work?

My doctor had me off six weeks. But at my six-week check-up I asked for another two weeks off. My body was almost ready to return to work but my mind needed a couple of more weeks. Then I had him release me for 1/2 days the first two weeks.

I strongly recommend the 1/2 days for two weeks. By the time noon came I was ready for a nap.

Hugs to you!
