Upper thigh/tendon pain?

I seem to be having pain in my upper thigh area, you know the crease where it meets the vaginal area? I have a cyst like bump on each side, and a cut or tear (small) on one. Moving my legs is a chore, and hurts really badly. Even the main tendon on each side feels tense and swollen.

I called the nurse this morning, no response yet. Am I just insane or is this a normal thing?

Upper thigh/tendon pain?

Hi sreaves
I'm stumped, I don't know if I have ever heard of anything exactly like this. I had a sling done too and it makes me wonder if it might be something related to that. I had two small incisions, but they were much lower, on the labia. As it was explained to me they pull the sling into place through the incisions and then attach the ends. They were quite sore for a long time, but I didn't have any problems with my thighs. If your dr took another route more down onto your leg it could possibly be causing your pain. I don't really know if it is ever done like that though. Did you have pain in the hospital or has it just developed this week?

The only other idea I have about the leg pain is that is could be from positioning during surgery. Sometimes women have pain after the fact because of the stress of the position they are in on the table. This doesn't explain the cyst like bumps or the small cut. It doesn't seem 'normal' to me for you to be having so much discomfort moving your legs. If the nurse doesn't have a good explanation, maybe you should ask to talk to the dr to see if you can understand better what's going on.

I hope you heard back from the nurse. Please let us know what you find out.

Upper thigh/tendon pain?

Rita, I actually went to my dr. today, after calling the nurse. And, yes, it is the 2 "stab" wounds from the sling. He apologized for not doing the "art" before the surgery. I had asked my DH to look and see if he saw stitches, and he didn't, but there is one on each side.

Good news, it's normal pain. Bad news...it's pain. But this too shall pass.

Upper thigh/tendon pain?

Oh good, I'm glad to hear you have an explanation. I think it's easier to deal with something when we understand why we are experiencing it. I hope it gets better soon. Did he have any ideas for relieving your discomfort, such as applying heat or ice?

Upper thigh/tendon pain?

I have that same pain. The right side was really "uncomfortable". the last day or so has been better but i can not walk too much or there is pain. I am almost two weeks post op so I can only hope that it will all get better soon. Good Luck to you.
