weight gain anyone?

I had my hyst on 11/12/07. I went back to work on 12/24/07. As of 12/24 I was very pleased that I hadn't gain any weight. Now I'm up about 12 pounds in the past month. I'm not sure if I'm less active, eating too much, or both. Have any of you gained weight?

weight gain anyone?

I had a radical hysterectomy on Nov 1, 2007 and I also have gained 12 pounds. I definately am not eating more so the only thing I can think of is that I am less active. I'm going to give it 2 more months before I begin to panic!

weight gain anyone?

I had a radical hyster on 10/5/07 and I have gained 7 lbs. - which means none of my clothes fit. I did go on a SSRI because I am not able to take HRT because of severe endo, so that could be a contributing factor.

Panic combined with digust has already set in here. I have also worked out and due to some other conditions that were discovered during my surgery, I am looking forward to a kidney removal in a week. Kidney surgeon says it's a liquid diet for a week, so I am hoping that I will drop at least 5 lbs of my luggage.

Back to the treadmill in a 4 to 6 weeks.

weight gain anyone?

I am only two weeks out but I've gained some weight for sure. I am not able to even walk much because of the cold weather and let's just say that the three bags of kiddie mix--- all kinds of "penny type" candy that was left over from Halloween is no longer left over if you get my drift. My sweet tooth is in overdrive.

I am not worried too much yet because I am just waiting for clearance to resume my very active exercise schedule. Who knows if any clothes fit because I really haven't even gotten dressed too many times in the last two weeks.

weight gain anyone?

I too have gained weight. I did OK for about 6 months. Actually lost some weight after the surgery. It's been over a year since my surgery. I think I've put on a total of 20 lbs in 15 months. Ten of those in the last 2 months. Thank god for Spanx.

I too have gained weight

I had a partial hysterectomy (kept ovaries) on 11/14/07. Right after the surgery I lost about 5 pounds. But then the holidays came with all of my favorite cookies and treats, and the 5 pounds came right back on. I am totally exhausted after work and basically am on the sofa until I have to make dinner. I have just tried going on the treadmill about 3 times a week for 20 minutes. It's a real chore. My appetite is huge, especially when I'm ovulating. I think the lack of exercise, exhaustion and large appetite are the cause of weight gain. Hang in there. Try to get in a small exercise routine. I know it's hard when you are so exhausted. I've heard it takes a full year to feel completely healed. We've been through a lot. Have patience with youself! God bless to all.

weight gain anyone?

My surgery was July 31, 2007.
kept ovaries and kept cervix....just gave up the uterus. Had a mini tummy tuck.
First 10 days post op I dropped about 4-5 lbs...
Gained back up to pre-op weight...and now over the last several months have hovered about 4-6 lbs more than pre op weight...but...thankfully my clothes all still feel the same...so I'm not sure where the weight is...
I just know what the scale says...
When it goes to the 6 lb mark I start really flipping out...but....next morning it will be back in the 3-4 lb range again and I relax...
I don't mind that amount...it just obviously makes me start wondering how much more is to come.
I know my eating habits are the same...and I feel as though I'm just as active...so...who knows...

I am 7 weeks out and I have gained 6 pounds. I went to Weight Watchers today as I do not need the 6 to turn to 10 and the 10 to turn to 20!
