Am I the only one without a 2 week check?

I too never had 2wk appt. I had T/V/H w/bladder repair on 12/03/07, On 1/3/08, I was at the local emergency room because my grandson jumped on me, among other circumstances. He released me, telling me to call my dr. I hurt so bad there were several times I almost passed out. I called my dr. & only recieved the nurse. I told her what happened, & she told me to keep my scheduled appt-this Fri,2/1/08!!!!!!!!!!Almost 9wks post-op!!!!I've called twice since then to let them know I still hurt- they keep saying to just keep my appt. I will say I am finally starting to feel better, but I still am not right. If there is something wrong that requires more surg, I will be upset bcuz I went to the ER 4wks ago 2day. I have learned that we are all different. Each one of us heals diff. Our life circumstances, age, & general health all contribute to how we heal. At 2wks, just relax, take it easy, but if your gut is telling you something is wrong, then insist on at least a call from the dr so you know he understands what is going on w/you & he can tell you himself if everything is ok or not. I wish you well.

Am I the only one without a 2 week check?

I don't have to see my Dr. for 6weeks. But if I was worried or scared I would go in, that is what they are there for. I usually end up with a really good Dr. and nurses, but there are always some nurses there that are very hard to deal with. If you feel something might be wrong, talk to who ever you have to and complain, but go with your instints and insist on seeing your Dr. before he leaves for vacation.

I was told to make an appointment at 2 weeks if I was having problems and 4 weeks if I wasn't. My Dr. also told me that spotting for up to six weeks is normal, although I have not had any spotting at all.
I agree, if you feel that you need to be seen by your Dr., insist on making an appointment. Even if you are being "paranoid" it will make you feel better to know that your symptoms are normal, and if something really is wrong, you will be able to get help for it. I hope things will get better for you.
