silicone lubricant?

I have read that silicone lubricants are good. We have always used lub on occasion, but wanted to try the silicone--as I am 7 weeks post op and need some help in that area.

My question is where did you buy it (no I am NOT going in a sex store, so it would have to be online) and what kind did you use that you recommend?

silicone lubricant?

i can't help with the practical side of this...

...but have to share something which we have discussed on our date thread about olive oil and turkey basters...and when we stopped laughing..well I don't have to draw you a picture, but it is supposed to be a wholly natural lubricant and healer...you might not be able to look your grocery man in the eye, but it easy to get hold of..lol

hope that helps..

silicone lubricant?

(((rt3773))) here is a good link to information about the pros and cons of silicone lubricants:

http://sexuality.about.com/od/sextoy...one_lubric.htm

Some of those 'cons' mean they may not be the ideal choice for some women, myself included - the idea of having to scrub with soap to remove them from skin or sheets is not appealing, for example.

There are some very good water-based lubricants available, such as Astroglide, which is very popular and easy to purchase at drug and discount stores.

I would not recommend the use of any food products such as olive oil as lubricants, especially when you are recently post op. Those products are not manufactured to the same standards as products intended for vaginal use. Plus, once the container is open, it's easy for the contents to become contaminated and breed bacteria, which would then be introduced into the healing vagina.

I hope this helps.

s,
-Linda

silicone lubricant?

Just a few days ago, I was in Target looking for something that didn't get quite so sticky, like KY jelly and KY Warming. I found Silk (yet another KY product, I think), and I'm really happy. However, the choices were mind boggling! Lots of choices, including silicone lubes. I think the selection is comparable at similar discount stores. The drug store I was in today (price comparing!) didn't have nearly the selection, but there was still a fair range of products.

I hope you find what you're looking for!
