Vaginal Cramping

I'm 12wks post-op (TAH kept ovaries) and YES, I feel some sort of cramping in my vaginal cuff during my cycle. I thought this was crazy, but the last 3 days it's like it's RAW in there. Just a pain/pressure right smack dab in the middle. I'm gonna go take a motrin, if that helps, then I guess it was my vaginal cuff for sure. Is this going to last forever or will it eventually stop?

I know what you mean about breast pain and I don't have my ovaries...
We just are going to have to go along for the ride and figure this out.. When I talk to my gyne, he acts like I am crazy... They have caller ID, pretty soon he wont answer the phone.

Vaginal Cramping

I'm about 4 months post op from a TAH. I have cramping and when I asked my gynecologist about it he said that I don't have anything left to cramp. Well it sure feels like my period is coming! MY bowels are moving regularly so it can't be that. I know I have a cyst on my right ovary and wonder if that is causing this...also a slight rectocele and cystocele ...not to mention painful intercourse! Eventually I'll be better than before the surgery....but I guess I'll have to wait for it.

Sometimes I don't think they know what we feel... AND IT IS REAL. You still have a vagina (I am assuming) and that is what we are feeling cramping up... so tell him to get with it!!

Vaginal Cramping

I don't have vaginal cramping so much as I've noticed tugs here and there.. like quick sharp pains. I don't have to be doing anything for it to happen. Just sitting in a chair etc it will happen. Part of healing I suppose. I agree with the phantom pains, I mentioned that to my DH a couple weeks ago when I told him of a little pain where my left ovary should be (both are removed). I told him if a person that loses a limb, (say an arm or leg) can experience phantom pain, why not an internal organ. Since these are the first internal organs I've lost, (still have tonsils and appendix etc) I have to guess it's just as likely.

Vaginal Cramping

Thanks PattieO...sometimes I feel like it's all in my head. I'm seeing another gynecologist for a second opinion on Monday..my doctor asked for this....so I hope he doesn't tell me I have nothing to cramp...so the vagina can cramp. My gyn took a biopsy of my cuff at my last visit and that hurt like heck! He suspected I have some fallopian tube there....I guess I'll find out on Monday.
I'm just fearful that they'll say there is nothing wrong and yet I still feel so awful..Here's to healing!

Vaginal Cramping

I have heard of that before and I have also heard even though they take the ovaries, if there is a piece of tissue left it can regrow... I thought they took them out in one piece but maybe I am wrong. How will he know if it is a piece of fallopian tube.?
Sassibella:
I think the tugs and pulls are part of the healing process also... I have one particular spot that is extremely painfull... Nothing else hurts a lot anymore. so I will ask Dr. about it... I noticed when they did my D& C on the report it mentioned all tools accounted for. On the hyst. paperwork that was not mentioned.. Hopefully they didn't leave something.
