question for the single ladies- sexual

[quote=Loves to Run]I asked my doctor about this before my surgery (your first question). He told me no intercourse for 6 weeks, but anything else is completely fine anytime after surgery.... he said, "go have fun, whenever it's comfortable for you." :-)

I'm 9 days post-op, and haven't tried anything yet only because I'm still having a lot of pain issues. But, I have started thinking about it, and I'm thinking I won't go much longer before something happens. :-) I know my husband will be very happy to assist! ;-) With all due respect, ms. anne posted this question to SINGLE women. those of you with hubbies DO have differant issues.

I do know for a fact I will not be waiting 6 weeks for non-intercouse things.... I am married, but I think this topic is very valid for married women, too, and also something that a lot of women would not ask.
If you feel you wish to express your needs as a "married person", I'd like to suggest you start your own thread. entitled questions or sharing for married folks.

I just lost my female reproductive parts, I do not need to be reminded that I am missing out on having a husband!

question for the single ladies- sexual

Ladies,

Thank you for your thoughts. I agree it is an issue for both married and married to discuss. My reason for posing it more to single ladies is that there is the problem of having to work it out alone. This is more centered towards the second portion of the question so maybe I should have made 2 posts.

I will let you know what the Dr says tomorrow about the masturbation portion of the post. And then work on the rest of it in about 6 weeks!

I am still open for thoughts and suggestions on either one.

THANK YOU!

question for the single ladies- sexual

Hello,

Just going to add my 2 cents. I am not single, but it's my body and my sexuality and I NEEDED to find out what changed or what did not change on my own. The first time I tried masterbating (2 weeks) I got too tired and had to quit. Who woulda thunk that was so exhausting. LOL! The second time I tried (week 4) I did have a orgasm without pain. Yay!! Once I was cleared for sex and ready to try (week 6, didn't want to be touched until week 8) I used a sex toy -I know, embarassing, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do- to see if my vagaina worked. It did and I was happy. Use Astroglide too.

I know it sounds crazy, but he was not invited to my party, I had to find these things out on my own for my peace of mind.

Good luck ladies,

bitterpill

PS I'm just going to say it. Keep your sex toys, they will help in preventing vaginal stenosis or atrophy (narrowing or shortening of the vagina). There is nothing embarassing about this subject. This is a medical condition and if you can prevent it, do! And if you suffer from these conditions, you will use a dilator at home as a form of physical theray.

question for the single ladies- sexual

April Dawn I absolutely love your quote. The best term I could come up with was diddle. Outercourse sounds much more grown up. As soon as my 24 year old daughter leaves (she would totally gross out), I am going to call my Doctor. If it's okay with her, I will be taking care of business tonight. Happy Valentines Day to me with or without DH!!
Thank you so much Ms. Anne for bringing this subject up and thank you to all who have replied. I'm laughing hysterically.

question for the single ladies- sexual

I had my first two week appointment today and it was pretty uneventful. No internal exam, she wanted to wait till at least 4-6 weeks for that. Talked about how I was doing, the surgery itself, etc. She told me that she used a new device during the surgery that was supposed to make people heal faster, did not get the name of it, will have to do that. I asked her about being "allowed" to have the big O and was giving a go. She said the standard "nothing inside" but said anything else is ok. I do not have to go back to see her till 4 weeks from now, we will do an internal then . If I pass that I can figure out how to figure out the "rest" of the question. Thanks again for listening
