Feeling cheated in life

Hello all,
After reading all of these posts, I have realized that I have been cheated in life. Unfortunately, I have never had an orgasim in my sleep and I'm wondering why? I guess I'm just not having the right kind of dreams. I told my husband about all of these posts of women who had orgasims in their sleep and that I'm feeling cheated. His response was "bummer". Tell me about it. I've always had no trouble having one with him but never in my sleep. We have not been cleared yet for sex but experienced some foreplay activity the night before valentine's day. I had no discomfort from that and was happy about that. We will see when I get cleared what happens. I go for my 6 week appt on 2/28 and my husband and I's 4th year anniversary is on March 12th. We usually have a night out and away from out daughter for our anniversary so we will see how it goes. Hopefully I am cleared for sex by then.

Some Questions, hopefully shared concerns...

Hi whorleybird,
Don't worry so much about the dream thing. I was really surprised because it has only happened to me twice before in my life, (I'm 39!) We are all different and respond differently so maybe you don't get the good dreams, but I've never had a vaginal "O", I've always required external play and frankly didn't discover that until I had been married for a while I can only achieve that every few days at the most so a dream cheats me out of sharing it with DH, so the grass is always greener on the other side. I'm holding out a little hope that things will improve post op or as I get older, but if it doesn't that is okay too.

Sisters - thank you all for your replies. Kay - you do not sound like a prood or that you were passing judgement. We may be from different generations, but I was more like you than you know. Although dh was not my one and only, I left my family home to be with him. We met when I was 18 and married when I was 20. We have been married 22 years in June. If you ask my dh, it took years for him to get me to "come out of my closet". I am glad it was with him I can feel more comfortable about sexually oriented issues. So feel comfy in this forum - no judgement being passed here. We are all different and that is what makes us great!

Some Questions, hopefully shared concerns...

I did have some discharge, I felt like I was having a phantom period a couple of days ago. My doctor did tell me my ovaries would still cycle for sometime. I guess the ovaries haven't figured out, they're not needed anymore! As far as sex...Sex can be great after a hysterectomy. I was greatly concerned about orgasm being different, but it wasn't thankfully. Everything is back to normal. Best wishes to you in your recovery. And by the way...where in so Cal do you live....I live in Riverside.
