Help needed ~ insomnia and anxiety

Okay, it must just be the military docs, they have a whole different set of guidelines they are required to follow and are pressured to give or not give medications according to the chain of command. At one point, they were told to put all patients with a cholesterol over 200 on Zocor and I refused. It must have had a pretty good incentive because my doc was furious! In 6 months I got it down to 194 on my own and he stopped bugging me, but he didn't seem all that happy about it. I'm so glad I'm seeing civilian docs now! Maybe my civilian GP will be more forthcoming with Ambien, I'll give it a try on Tuesday!

Anyway, I did sleep some better last night. I got at least one chunk of sleep that was over 4 hours so even if I can just hang on to that for a few nights, I'll feel a lot better. Tonight I'll try the Unisom to see if it is more effective. I never though sleeping would turn into such a science project!
