Glad to hear all is well with everyone! I've been super busy too! Feeling good but still have pain every once in a while. I guess it's still my body's way of saying - take it easy. The pain is nothing like what I had before so I am truely blessed! Coming to the end of the school year where things get crazy so I probably won't be around much. Hope you all continue to do well! I'll check in a couple of days - hopefully!
God Bless!

Hi Everyone,

I'm home from my heart device surgery. I wanted to let you all know everything went really well. The only thing, it took 9 sticks to get a vein for my IV. They stuck me about 4 times in my arm. They ended up going in my neck: once on the right side of my neck and 4 trys on the left side of my neck, they finally got a vein there. So I look like a vampire got hold of me.

We are watching my temperature and incision site. I will keep it short as I'm very early in my recovery. My surgery was bumped up a day; so, I had my surgery on the 30th instead of today.

Please pray that no infection developes around the device. This is my 6th 0r 7th, I've lost count; anyway, I've never had a problem with infection before. I pray I will dodge it this time too. I'm on strong antibiotics.
I'm so thankful my heavenly Father carried me through all of this.

I hope you are all doing well. Blessings,
Pansypen

Thank you, Amy. I really want to go to church this Sunday; Sunday night we will remember our Lord with The Lord's Supper. I did get to go last Sunday, I had been gone so long....my first time back in about 2 1/2 months. I couldn't believe I was actually there, it was so sweet to be back in fellowship with my brothers and sisters. To worship in spirit and in truth.
I had such peace going in yesterday. The night before, I had the pre-surgery jitters, but they subsided. We were so happy when it was all over.
Thank you for your prayers. God bless you. Pansy

Glad to hear things went so well Pansy! Ouch, 9 sticks, my veins are hard to find too--once they tried moving the needle around under my skin--torture.

Hope everyone is too busy getting on with life to post. I've been busy getting my resume, references and portfolio together and putting the house on the market.

Who knows I may end up on one of those farms in Australia yet! It would certainly be better than getting stuck in a rut here. Had a talk with my boss Friday and found out the structure of the office has changed and he didn't think it needed to be announced and had no plans whatsoever for me to do anything more than what I'm doing. Never told me about the changes that affect my life and career that I've worked 20 years to get to--I got my masters degree at age 41 (BA at 37) after working 2 and 3 jobs all my life to finish school. I didn't do all that to be pigeonholed for someone else's convenience. Am I upset? I was. Now I'm focused on moving onwards and upwards.

And just when I thought I had my energy back to accomplish all this it gets zapped this afternoon-doing too much I'm sure. moving boxes, totes of fabric (I"m a fabric-o-holic sewer) to go through, patterns, notions, books, etc. So here I am checking in, taking a break. having an estate sale next weekend, come on over! then the following Tuesday the realtors come marching through so lots of stuff to tidy up and declutter.

Getting hot in here, must be 90 outside or close. gotta turn the A/C down more or get in the pool while I still have one. Funny how Princess (my shep/lab) doesn't want to get near the water in the pool...guess its' good she doesn't jump and then run through the house though. She loves digging a hole to lay in when it's hot. geesh, more work to do, gotta go fill in her latest hole--at least they are all in the same spot.

have a great week all

Hi Kim,

Its unfortunate your boss didn't think it was appropriate to let you in on the changes and I'm sorry for that. I am happy you have it all on the table now and when you find something else (AND YOU WILL) he won't have the right to be shocked. YOU GO GIRL!!!

Are you going to move out of FL, Kim? I'm excited for you, in spite of your "surprise" circumstance at work! I have just accepted a job in Spokane, WA, and can hardly wait to leave the FL heat and humidity! Four seasons, here we come! We're packing light, as we are going to keep our house here. I'm thankful we don't have to box-up every room in the house!

Danswife, how are your workouts now? Did the soreness go away from your surgery? I've been walking a good bit, but having a hard time being motivated for focused workouts like crunches and squats!

Well, you all have a blessed day! Lynn

Thanks Cynthia for the support!

Lynn, Once the house is sold I will be looking for work elsewhere in the country--the heat here has gotten to be too much since my heart attack--the humidity just is hard on my system now.

Spokane eh? I will be looking at Portland, OR and maybe even Seattle (seems like architecture jobs are always around cities, hmm, wonder why kidding.)
I have friends up in Bellingham, WA and want to visit the whole area and drop in on some places. I also have a friend from Vancouver, BC, Canada a place I have always wanted to visit and maybe move to. I want to visit there and Victoria when I get up there.
I may just end up back up in PA where I'm from though. Maybe not same city (Lancaster) but same state or even Virginia, used to live there and liked the weather and have a bunch of friends still there too.
I'm finally getting to enjoy the freedom of going anywhere I want--like an 18 yr old leaving home, I never had that before, always had to go where a job was for school and then take care of mom when she had her stroke. She's fine now and ready to go on her own too.
Everything happens for a reason and Alexander G Bell, same birthday as me--said when one door closes another opens...
