Hi everyone,
It's good to hear that we are all getting better and some of us slower than others!! I now know what they mean when they say don't do too much too soon!! I was feeling pretty good and we left for Disneyland. About three days into the trip I started to hurt a bit more - probably from all the walking and I had been lifting my three year old daughter. Well let me tell you that was a big mistake - my body was not ready for all that activity and now I feel like I am back to week 6. Not to mention - I started some new PT exercises and I think that tipped the scales!!
How slowly is everybody getting back into their routine and has this happened to anyone?

Hi Monica
oh yeah. this has happened to me. I've been posting on the thread "13 weeks and still pain???" because I found others with the same thing. Some had hernias, cysts, but most of us are just not healing as fast.
My pain isn't always in the same spot, some days swelly belly is worse, some days that tingling has become a painful stinging while the nerves find each other.
I'm just so sick and tired of it, I wasn't mentally prepared for pain, even mild pain--for this long. I thought healing didn't mean I would notice it so much.
It's straining me mentally to the point I know I'm depressed and will be calling someone today to make an appt before I get worse and can no longer handle things myself. They tell us that depression is very common after heart attacks, but I did ok there until this, this is tipping my scale.

hi all.
i find that some days i seem to be "getting back to normal" and then hit a huge brick wall. i still have not been able to recover from the weekend with my son's graduation. i have no energy at all...i can just sit and watch tv (and fall asleep doing so) all day. my house is a wreck. i look around and want to clean but i just can't bring myself to do it. to be honest, i don't know if depression has anything to do with it or not, i just can't seem to want to move. i have like no milk left here and have to go to the store but i'm worn out and don't want to go. last night we had church and we didn't go. my two daughters are sick and i think i may be coming down with it-headache and sore throat but i haven't gotten to their point........i just didn't want to go out and risk it.
also, i don't know if anyone else is having this but sexually i seem to be having issues as well. its not that i don't want to, but i feel that now that we are back to our normal sex, it doesn't feel normal. can't explain it-it just takes me much longer to even get to an O and i don't always get there. its depressing and i have not been able to talk to my dh about it. i don't want to upset him i guess. i don't know.
this just isn't as easy as i thought it would be. my swelly belly still bothers me and everyone acts as if they have forgotten i even had surgery. ....i only have a couple of ladies ask me every now and then how i am feeling.
well, sorry to be venting..........only place i have to do so. i can't believe that this is where we are still........
blessings to all
love you all

Hi Marta,
I can so commiserate with you. This is longer than I ever thought and it's taking a toll. I left work early today and my coworkers just don't even speak to me much any more, it's so hard to even go in these days. I'm looking for another job in ANY field just so I can get away from this--it is not helping my depression--actually it's helping the depression, just not me.
I called to make an appt to see someone, their first opening is mid August. sigh. So I'm calling someone else now...
Kim
I am so grateful for this site. I can't even go there where I would be without you all.

hey kim
yeah, i understand about this site. i feel the same way. let me pray for you.
Dear Lord, I pray for Kim, i pray that you will help her to get through all of this. Lord, I pray that you will help in her work situation. Lord, we should enjoy going to work and obviously Kim is having a hard time there. Allow her fellow workers to open their eyes to what she is going through and give them a spirit of kindness towards her. Lord, if she indeed needs to find another job-open the door for her to know where she needs to go. Lord, I also lift her up to you about the depression she is feeling. Lord, I pray that you will give her a sense of peace in all of this. Lord, I know that you can help each of us with these pains that we have, this struggle that we are going through. Help us to see your hand upon our lives. Lord, I pray that you would give Kim your peace that surpasses all our understanding. Help her to get the help that she needs to get past this valley. Lord, thank you for loving us so much that you care about how we feel and you care enough to carry us through the valleys of our lives. Lord, I thank you for loving us enough to be there for us when we are struggling. Lord, i pray for each of us that you will allow us to get back where we need to be physically and emotionally. thank you Lord, amen

we will get through this together!!!
love ya

Hi girls-just catching up on the posts. I am starting to feel less achy and less swollen by the end of the day. I hope this means I am finally getting to the good side of things . Had a quiet weekend. Been busy with my dad the last few weeks. He has had 2 bladder surgeries and we have been back and forth to the doctor and ER. I didn't have the heart to tell him I still have aches and swelling and don't feel well. I just keep smiling and keep going. I don't have time to be a I have noticed a change since surgery. Has anyone else gone from sweet and kind to being a beast ? LOL!!! I have like no tolerence for some of my coworkers and at times my family. It kind of scares me at times. Well, better get back to work. Needed a break and smile with the sisters. Hope everyone has a good weekend.

I thought I was crazy with that sunburned feeling returning, so it's nice to know others still have pain from reconnecting nerves? I also had a kidney/bladder infection this week and I could not believe, nor could my husband or daughter, how fast my belly swelled up -ouch! They were very sympathetic when they could actually see the swelling increase. On antibiotics and it's settling down. Doctor very kind and patient and says the tumor I had was also attached to the bladder and he did cut it. Takes time. Wish you all wellness!
