Rash around incision....

The rash hasn't gotten any better/worse since it popped up on Saturday. I listened to my husband and waited to call the dr first thing this morning. I spoke with his assistant and she said that they should go ahead and see me. I have an appt at 1:00 today. I will post when I get back home.

Thanks for all the advice!

Rash around incision....

I just got home from the dr(s). My gyno took one look at my rash and said "oh ****". He felt around and said that my incision was fine and he thought that I was reacting to the stuff he sprayed on me before removing the staples (thinks the fever is related to the URI). He took off all the steri-strips and then had his assistant call a dermatologist in the same building to get me right in. I went over to the derma and he thinks the same thing about the spray. He gave me a script for some cortisone cream and said that should clear things up.

Thanks again for all the good thoughts and advice!

I'm so glad you called the doctor, and I'm so relieved it was nothing. It's always better to err on the side of caution

Keep pampering the princess and I hope that rash clears up soon.

I am sorry you have had a reaction to the spray your doctor used. I hope the cortisone cream from the dermatologist clears up the rash soon without any of the blisters getting infection! It is super that you were able to get in to see the dermatologist so quickly!

I would suggest writing down the name of the spray your doctor used and be sure all your doctors know that you have had a reaction to it so that it is not used for you in the future.

Sending best wishes your way! S
