PS Have had a better day today. The day started quite painfully, but took ibuprofen and have taken it easy, as much as possible, except the usual getting lunch and dinner etc, and quick trip to supermarket. Hope others have had a good day too.

I love you guys! I woke up this morning with pain, it mostly felt like intestinal pain, a lot like what I use to get with my periods, any way, long story short, I was feeling discouraged. When I logged on this morning, I read that several of you guys are feeling the same. Not that I am happy that my sisters are hurting, it just confirmed that I am normal The good news is I have slept through the night and no night sweats for a few nights now. I love HRT

Happy Easter everyone.

Thanks for the answers girls, I actually had even more muscle twinges last night and a few walking round this morning. I have this almost irresistible urge to stretch my whole body like I used to in the morning, but I know that might be a really bad idea so I'm scared to try. Any stretchers out there?? Fess up.

I'm still having BM confusion, and by that I mean sometimes I feel like I have to go right now or there may be a disaster. The feeling is very painful cramps, so I speed walk/shuffle to the bathroom then find out I really dont have to go for about an hour or so. Then when I do go its very normal. I'm finding this very frustrating, almost like my bowels are working but they are not happy about it.

Also have been having some bladder spasms. They are not that bad, they happen right after going pee almost like once again the bladder is working fine but also not happy about it so I get a little shock of pain before I can get up.

Lisa~I'm having the same bowel issue. It's getting slowly better, but is very frustrating because I keep thinking I have to go when I don't. As for stretching...I'm all about it! Been doing full body stretches in bed for a week now...just take it slow!

So no more spotting...I've stopped even wearing panty liners!! Woo-hoo! Forgot what it felt like not to wear a pad/panty liner. I have been having random twinges, though...anyone else? What's that about?

Hope you're all doing well!

Happy Easter!

Hey girls:

I thought I'd take a little break from the "Land of Doing Nothingness" and touch base with my sistas. Hope everyone is doing well today. DH says to all of you.

We've done a whole lot of nothing today. Since I overdid it yesterday, there was no way I was going to have a repeat performance today. DH and I watched "I Am Legend" with Will Smith. Don't know that we would recommend it.

I was dealing with something similar to menstrual cramps earlier, so I took a Motrin. Fortunately, due to my inactivity today, I haven't needed to take a Vicodin.

After the cramping in my right leg the other night, I started doing leg stretches once a day. This seems to have really helped.

DH is leaving for a two-night business trip tomorrow, so it'll be just me and the four-legged kids. He was kind enough to vacuum and fold some laundry earlier. He can't wait until my doctor releases me from my lifting restrictions. He has, however, been a great sport, and given me very little of his usual sarcasm.

Happy Healing!

Thanks Heather,

The bowel thing is really anoying and sort of takes you by surprise hey?

The other sisters ( me included ) are saying the muscle twinges are really common, slightly different times and places but all seem to agree it is a normal part of muscle and nerve healing, which is confidence invoking for sure.

I actually stopped the spotting slightly before my third week, and it wasn't even real spotting more like beige or tan almost like pre-period discharge. I wont know for sure if i'm going to have the mini periods until another week or two go by when my hormones dictate. That is if my ovaries are not in shock, not sure how I could tell if they were in shock? I read somewhere that the residual hormones stay in the body for a while, but again, not sure how long that takes?

Ive noticed there are not as many SAH girls as others so I really pay attention when someone comments. I kept mine cause I felt that if it was healthy I want to keep it, for support and also for sexual function, even though the opinion of doctors seems to vary wildly on the subject. My doctor said it was not necessary to keep but at the same time he was very flexible and compassionate about my concerns and wishes.
