Hi Everyone

Winter has really hit us down under and it has been very cold - well by our standards anyway. Can't wait for spring.

Christine - you can't take a trick - the thought of more surgery must be driving you crazy, but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel. Don't envy you the Mammogram - god they hurt..must be a man that invented them.

I also have to have a follow up one in about 8 weeks ugh!!!

DH and I have been experimenting with some of our new toys, what a hoot, where have I been all these years.

BUT am a bit sore in the area that I had the adhesions and Endo today, mind you we have been up close and personal under the Doona covers more then normal but nothing very athlectic, too cold for that.

Hope that it is just muscles complaining would hate that the Endo or Adhesions are coming back.

Baby shower this weekend, DD preggie and I are having tomorrow off to shop for food and cook, the table and chairs arrived this morning - do you beleive that she paid $200.00 AUD for them - just so she could have them in white. What a Princess my daughter thinks she is LOL!!!

Baby is only 4 weeks away and this Grandma is getting very excited.

DS32 and DIL are going to take DH and I over to see where they have booked for their wedding reception and meet the chef. They are having it at the Cronulla Surf Club overlooking Cronulla Beach - very swish..will have to shop for something very classy to wear.

DIL is also going to show me her wedding dress on Sunday, so it is all happening down under.

DS31 had a car accident this morning - where will it ever end with this one, he always seems to be in trouble on way or the other - when he was little he would tell me that it was his hand that did it not him.

Hope you ae all going okay - Kim and Julie how are things.

Luv to you all

Nothing much new going on with me. Had appt w/ the cardiologist's nurse on Tues. That went well. Blood pressure was down. My primary care dr is still trying to figure out what is with my potassium levels.

Summer is the slow time at my shop.. doing the farmer's market every week to try to sell a few things. Have that this afternoon.

My parents' modem got fried last week... its been an ordeal trying to fix it. But I think we got it fixed last night. They only use the computer for email and games but you'd think they were trying to run a multi million dollar company!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

Howdy everyone

Wow a carribean cruise - Christine your DH has just scored mega brownie points - good for you - I am really jealous LOL!!!

30 years is a huge milestone - so we need all the goss!!!

Little bit of a life story please LOL!!!

Kim - Good to hear that you are getting on the mend. So what is it with the Potassium levels ??? That would effect your heart function??

Wonder how Julie (Onwards) is going with her DS in corfu - hope all is well for her.

Down under has been a bit of a maniac weekend, DD preggies baby shower, major production ugh!! but it was fun - until one of our dear male friends decided he knew best and decided to corner me out the front of our place and demand to know what was happening with DH and I.

We have not told our friends (about the affair) because they are too close to the kids and we don't want the kids to know - BUT - friends think they know best so all holy hell broke out - and he told me I had no right not to tell them and that I had violated our friendship by not confiding in them - how rude - I broke down in tears and pleaded for them to just go and let it be - when they left it took me a while to stop crying and compose myself so that I could go back into the party and play happy families.

Needless to say DH copped my rage later on...Not good.

We called in yesterday to our friends and again pleaded withthem to respect our privacy and let it be. Ugh!! All too much.

Anyway on a brighter note went over to DS32 & DIL's (getting married in Feb 09) to be shown the reception place and menu's and I SAW the wedding gown - absolutely beautiful.

No the kids haven't twigged to what has happened and I couldn't for the life of me put them through that. BUT it is very hard staying composed. DH is beside him self with what has now happened and is also very angry with our friends - although we do understand their love and concern.

Anyway must go. Hope your lifes are a bit easier then mine at the moment.

You know I am an optimist and I know that it will get easier - I just wish my Gaurdian Angel would come out of hiding and help me LOL!!

Love to you all

Kezza, I am really sorry that your friends aren't respecting your privacy. I am sure that they are just very concerned but they should be able to understand that you don't want to share your intimate details with them. Especially if you are trying to work things out with your hubby.

My potassium levels could very well be part of my blood pressure issue. My primary Dr called my husband on Fri to say that she was sending me to see a nephrologist. Dave called me and told me who to contact. I tried that afternoon but got the run around from the nurse... seems my Dr has call the specialist and ask for a consultation! So it continues to drag on...... I'm just so frustrated from going back and forth to the dr, to the lab, waiting for the dr to call me or Dave...... My primary usually calls my husband because they are affialiated with the same hospital. That's fine, I guess. Anyway, I am sure that it will get resolved some day!

My Mom has been a bit of a challange these last couple of weeks. Yesterday, my husband & I took my parents and a mother/daughter pair of friends to see a play in a town 40 miles away. My mother did not say she wasn't feeling well before we left. Long story short... I ended up taking her home at intermission and leaving everyone else behind. I had to call the mother's boyfriend and ask him to go pick everyone up! He's a friend of our family too but still! And of course, Mom won't go to the emergency room she just wants to go home. All the way home, she's crying about not wanting to die! And then the next minute she seems fine! I'm trying to drive a van I'm not used to , call this guy using her cell phone which I'm not used to and listen to her! She didn't have her nitro with her and was having chest pains. Once we got home, she got the nitro and the pain went away. I did get her to talk to the cardiologist on call. He didn't think she needed to be seen unless the pain returned. I think she had just worked herself into a state.

anyway, everyone have a great week!

Hi Everyone

Kim- You poor thing, my mum also has heart problems and has had many so called angina or anxiety attacks and been rushed to hospital more times then I can count.

It is heart renching and I can only imagine how paniced you would have been.

I have often followed mum behind the ambulance in tears thinking that she may not make it to the hospital. when they finally did diagnose a tripple bypass she only just made it into surgery. She was having a heart attack as they wheeled her in - I went away and howled not knowing if mum would come out of the op.

So I feel your pain and despair.

Hubby has gone into damage control and rung all our dear friends that presume they know what has happened and told them that whilst we very much value their friendship and concern that we will brook no interference or discussion.

Apparently one of my darling girlfriends Roz thought she knew what was happening and rang the one friend Sue that did, so Sue thinking we had spoken to Roz spoke in detail about the affair - gooses - what part of confidence don't they understand. Anyway situation is now under control.

Have had enough of the tears - poor hubby was battered and bruised Saturday night LOL!!!

DD preggie saw Gyno today and baby has done a half comersault and is now face to pubes - gotta laugh my second one was delivered in that position. Hope the little darling behaves and turns to the right position. Only 3 weeks to go.

Hang in there Kim.

Luv

Hi Kezza

Sorry to hear about your friends interfernece, it really is between you and DH. Praying it will all settle down.

Have my scan for suspected hernia in 30 minutes, a bit anxious.

As for my story I met my husband, Tim, ewhen I was 14 in an old folks home of all places!! Our church used to hold services there on a Friday afternoon and he was visiting and joined. Long story short we married when I was 18 and he 21, we have three children daughter 28 married with 3 children in Bristol UK, daughter 27 tomorrow married in June this year also in UK in Cornwall and a son 20 married at Easter, he lives with us in Canada, British Columbia.

We got to an age, seven years ago, when we felt we needed to give back to society, we now work in a church, we are both Pastors, in the inner city of Prince George, it is the most fufilling work we have ever done. We have about 30 kids who we regularly take out to the lake etc to have fun, nobody spends time with them at home.

So... we have to go to Miami, all expenses paid, for a conference in October and decided to extend our stay. The cruise is classed as Western Carribean and goes to mexico, Belize, Honduras and the Bahamas. it lasts a week. I am so excited I can hardle wait. It will end a very hectic year, surgery then two weddings.

Have to go now for appointment, have agreat day

Hi Everyone

Christine - you are one very special person and deserve the cruise so much - well done!!!

My brother and his wife are also heavily involved in the church and I think the work they do is very special. It takes people like your DH and yourself to help people who are less fortunate in this life. But hey there is plenty of joy in the giving.

It is a shame that some in the church are more for themselves then for others but that is human nature.

My DH was very proud of himself for sorting our our well meaning friends. He is working very hard to make sure that all is well for us moving forward.

You know he is a great guy who just had an itch that had to be scratched ugh!!! Not an easy one to get my head around but I took our vows at 18 very seriously.

He told me last night that he thinks I am an amazing woman for putting up with what he has done.

Enough of that - let me know how you go with the hernia - ouch!!

I am still getting a few nigglies when we get under the doona covers so am keeping an eye on it. Hope it is just healing going on.

We are taking our caravan (trailer) away this weekend - cant wait just the 2 of us yeh!!.

Must go

Love to you all
