Fibroids! Fibroids! Fibroids!

I am scheduled for a Da Vinci TAH on April 30th. My belly is full of fibriods and growing rapidly. Have gone up three pant sizes in 6 months. Also gaining weight. Unable to be intimate with my hubby of 26 years. He is my "Knight and Shining Armor." No other symptoms. Will be glad when this all over. Looking forward to a NEW ME!!!!!! Pray for me and stength and no more SWELLING BELLY. Any feedback on DaVinci would be appreciated.

There's a thread a little ways down about the DaVinci, lots of peoples expeiences there.
Best of luck to you- any way you can get the surgery sooner?

I didn't have DaVinci.

I did have tons of fibroids... 7 total, 2 monsters.

I FEEL MUCH BETTER without them! (And so will you!)

I agree with Ohiocatlover's question: do you have to wait til April? Can you get your surgery scheduled sooner?

Thank you for your reply. No, there is no way to up the date. My surgeon only perform scheduled surgeries on Wed. and he is booked until the end of April. I am not having any symtoms that required emergency surgery. I work full-time as geriatric nurse so understand the scheduling process.

My go-round with the DaVinci 'bot is scheduled for tomorrow in Michigan. If you believe all their marketing hype, I'll dance outta there. Please, oh please, let it be SO! Go to the DaVinci web site and watch the glowing video testimonials. Even though they are "ads", they'll make you feel better.

I'll get details to the post-op board as soon as I am able to type (coherently, at least). You'll be in my prayers on April 30th.
