Post-Op Blues...someone smack me

Heidi, you will be fine. I remember when I had my surgery 7 months ago. I didn't know what all to expect. I talked to others who had surgery and read the pamphlets from the Drs. office but experiencing it was very different. I went from being too active to just taking it easy. It was hard for me to relax but I did. I was pampered by my DH and grown daughters and mom and dad and it felt good. I took my time doing thing, I would feel emotional at times and cry but it was okay. Just think of it as now having a healthy body which is now healing. At 7 months post op I still have tenderness and I'll get a catch every now and then in my tummy but it's okay. I still realize that when the Dr. says 6 months to a year for your body to get back to normal that she meant it. God bless you and I'll keep you in my prayers as well. We are all in this together and I'm glad to be a part of this wonderful site.

I cant believe your doc did a full pelvic exam this early... I would be spitting nails. My 4 wk point is Thurs. I have an appt with gyn/onc and am hoping he doesn't think he is going to look down there...... Maybe I'll just cancel until the next millenium. :-)

Pattie -

I had a 'gentle' internal at 2 weeks and was petrified when she said 'lets have a look' but honestly on a scale of 1 - 10, it was like a 1 or 2. In the list of things to be nervous about, it somewhere in the middle. On the list of things to avoid, its not even on it.
