Isn't it amazing the things we take for granted...pooping, rolling over in bed, getting out of bed, bending over to tie our shoes, reach up into cabinet, walking up and down stairs....????

I remember sitting there " on the can" saying "good girl you did it!" it really was something you wanted to share with the masses - so gratful to have this site to do that!

Always & forever - keep up with the stool softners and other additives - prunes juice especially- because it could go on for a while. (sorry to be the bearer of bad news) I am almost two weeks post-op and still having problems on a daily basis. I have been off pain killers for a couple of days but still having issues.

Good Luck and keep on Pooping!

Oh my gosh- I saw this and I just laughed- I had my first bm 2 days ago- TAH on Friday. I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital I was so full of crap. I was taking stool softeners regularly, eating the bowel healthy yogurt, I ate a whole stinking bag of prunes... NOTHING- Finally I bought some mag citrate and downed that and about 5 hours laters the dam burst- literally, Thank God for my laptop and wireless internet, I swear I sat on the throne for 45 minutes. My poor dd (6) had to hold her pee the whole time. I needed a gas mask to just sit in there LMAO.
I am so glad I have this forum to celebrate the little milestones!

Yea, I LOVE THIS SITE.

I had ordered a T-shirt from the store and today, for some reason I am really hurting and am wearing my T-shirt and told my DH that today is the first day that I am going to enforce the slogan!!!!!
Not even my pain meds are taking all the pain away.

I really think it has to do wtih the Pooping. I did a little againg today and started hurting again really bad.

>>>> along with a little SPOTTING on the front side??

Has anyone had this?

Keep up the fiber and stool softeners!! Lots and lots of them to help with !! Also lots of water to help flush it thru.
That being said -

I had spotting starting about 2.5 weeks post op and it continued until about 8 weeks (I know - yuck!!). However, I was told so long as it is not heavy or bright red I was ok. I was back in the Dr at 6 & 8 weeks for rechecks.

If you are concerned - call your dr's office and let them know what is going on. They may want you to come in or not. If you are really concerned about something (ANYthing) - insist that you get in to be checked out.

You need peace of mind - so in there!
