Shaving legs Post Op!!

Okay ladies---I REALLY need to shave my legs! They are WAY out of control. Any advice on HOW to do this--Im still can't really reach down well! (Or is this something I shouldn't be doing still??)

forget the legs! lol...seriously, I sat on a stool in the shower (since no tub allowed) and threw my leg on the side of the tub. I figured I got most of the first go around.

I use an electric razor, I just find them easier to deal with. I sat on the tub edge and put my leg up on the tub on the opposite side; very similar to the stool idea above. I was able to reach nicely. I was about 10 days post op.

Shaving legs Post Op!!

I had my DH shave my legs for me for the first 2 weeks. :-) I told him this was the "for worse" part of the "for better or for worse" wedding vows. haha.

I can not handle hairy legs.... even if my legs aren't showing, I can't handle them. So, that is why I gave my DH that job. :-) I was finally able to shave my own legs by about 2 1/2 weeks post-op.

Shaving legs Post Op!!

Even though I have never had to shave my legs (hair just doesn't grow on them) I think sitting down in the shower would be the best thing.

Shaving legs Post Op!!

hi! i was able to put my leg up on the side of the tub when i was taking a shower and shave. i think i made it all the way down to my ankle! lol
it was easier the second time. i really don't bend over to do it, just kind of lean a little. it hasn't hurt me that i know of. but i think sitting down might work better.

Shaving legs Post Op!!

I sat on a plastic garden chair in the shower and could lean over and reach most of my leg below the knees. And if felt so good to have smooth legs. Last year my sister had major surgery and I shaved her legs for her afterwards, she was really appreciative!

Shaving legs Post Op!!

My DH helped shave mine the first couple of weeks after my surgery. After about the third post op week I still had a hard time bending down. We have this little utility type stool that is very sturdy with a non-skid bottom that will not budge and I started sitting on that in the shower. If you decide to sit on something in the shower please make sure it's not something that could get wet and turn you and it over. Good luck and I'm praying for you all.
