At day 10 post op - what is your daily routine like?

You're doing well for 10 days post-op. My dr. told me to take it easy the first 2 weeks so that's what I did. I rested, got up to go to the BR, only went up and down the stairs 1-2 times a day, and got up to get my food or drink.

I am about 8 days ahead of you- had surgery on Feb 21. At ten days, my "routine" was very similar- walking for 15 min increments, folding laundry, etc. Remember that you will have good days and bad days and your body will let you know! Don't overdo anything- you are still very fragile. I have to remind myself of this constantly! Every week you will feel a little better- I promise!

Here's my routine at 12 days post op:

I usually go to bed at 10:00 and wake up around 7:30. The first few nights I had really bad insomnia, but that' calmed down a bit.

After eating my breakfast, I go on the computer for a little while. Then I take my shower. I'm not driving yet, but am fortunate to have my hubby at home so I tag along with him on whatever errands he's running.

Then I usually hang out on the couch and read or watch a movie. If the weather's nice, I go out for a short walk in the afternoon. I also don't lift anything, but I've folded laundry and picked up lightweight things from the floor. Thought I'm trying to limit that because I'm worried about pulling something.

I'm off the prescription medication and will occasionally take Advil before bedtime.

At day 10 post op - what is your daily routine like?

Well again, it is up to the individual. There was no way as a single mother that I could stay in bed for 4-6 weeks. I did extra laps at the hospital and made myself get up and move. I went back to work for 1/2 days at day 10. Im a paralegal, so I didnt have to walk much. At 2 1/2 weeks post op I was cruising around Disneyworld in one of those electric carts. My advise is listen to your body, but push yourself a bit more each day. Ive got another surgery coming up on April 1 to remove my last ovary. I just hope I didnt get spoiled with the last recovery and hit a wall this time! (Oh and I promise you I was not physcially active prior to surgery other than being a single mom) So the recovering shocked my doctor! Good luck to all of you on your recovery.
