I like "wifeswap" because it requires nothing mentally. Plus you see how other people live, and that is always interesting (scary sometimes, but definitely interesting...)

LOL...some of them are like watching a trainwreck. So today I was planning on getting lots of sleep...yeah right, hasn't happend and my pain is annoying me. I also had my first "breakdown" and flood of tears. Usually I cry after waking up from anesthesia, this time nothing. I have been in really good spirits even with the pain and breezing along. Today it has hit me like a rock on the head what major surgery I had and how life altering it is. The end of my womb and I am only 32. I feel empty inside my belly.....is this weird or just part of the grieving process. I guess I havn't let myself do that yet.

It's definitely part of the process. I'm 43, had my tubes tied at 27, and only just lost that feeling of wanting another baby at 35. I have/had absolutely no desire to start all over again. I currently have a 22 yo, 20 yo, and a 17 yo. However, I do still every now and then think that it's really over.

Just think of how this is going to improve the quality of your life with your family the way it is. That's what I keep thinking.

Blessings,

6 days post-op pain & bleeding

I had a LAVH BSO (everything taken out) and I still have to take my meds 2 percocet every 4-5 hours and 800 mg iburpofen every 6 hours. I'm still hurting and I started bleeding again today. It started out heavier, bright red blood and now it isn't as much. Should I call my Dr & should I still be in pain? I know that I had a major surgery and every women heals differently. Should I still be in pain, now I can get out of bed and walk around the house but then I'm tired and my pain starts. I've also had a strange discharge, has anyone else? No fevers. Any thoughts sisters?

8 days post-op TAH and BSO and extensive intestinal adhesions...this has been a struggle. I came home on day four with a supra-pubic catheter which was removed yesterday only to leave me with copious amounts of urine pouring out of my side. I had to go to the ER and have a Foley catheter placed.

My pain level is off and on and Ihave no appetite what-so-ever.

I am so ready to get to feeling better.
