Hi all,
Just wanted to say good luck to those who are returning to work this week. Take it slow and remember we are all here for you when you get home (or need a quick Hyster break at work ;-)

Good luck to all of you going back to work - I return next week.

I finally got the stomach flu that has been going around here. OMG!! I have never been so sick in my life!! I swear there is nothing left in me. I am so sore and weak. Feel like I took I one step forward, and am now back to where I was a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for letting me vent.

I am hurting so bad down below that I took a pain pill. I have increased pink stained discharge from my vagina and I am having to pee often. I am going to call my doctor in the morning. I hope I did not hurt anything. I am still sneezing and stopped up. Man it is one step forward and two steps back.

I still can't sleep.
I'm sorry you are having trouble. I hope all is well. Please let us know what the dr. says.

On the other hand.....I'm glad you'll be here for another couple of weeks. It seems our little group is getting smaller and smaller as recovery continues, which is a good thing. But I miss everyone!

Take Care!

Morning girls
My Ambien supply has dwindled to 3 tablets... if I cut them in 1/2 I can make them last almost a week. And I have the same issue with my Percocet, about 7 tabs left, and I am hanging on to them because I never know when I could have a horrible day, over do it, or something.

I am home for anothe 2 or 3 weeks, depends what my Gyn says when I go for the checkup next week. WHile I am flat broke, and could use the increase paycheck, I am finally feeling well enough to start enjoying my time off.

This past month has flown by in a haze of pain pills and naps, crying jags, and struggles to keep up with my studies. I would like to enjoy some real "down time" since I won't have any vacation time left at work for the year, I guess I should consider THIS a vacation.
I love what I do, but I hate the firm I work for, where they value status and money over anything. They really give lawyers a bad name!!!

Boyfriend just asked me something stupid, "Are you gonna keep talking to them forever or does thing END at some point?"

Um... appears we like each other, so why stop the chatting?

MEN!

Given the choice of talking to DH or you guys.....I think you all know the answer to that! LOL

I know my dr is going to release me to work part-time from home but I'm not sure how long that will take to get set up, nor do I know for how long I'll be on part-time at home status. Forever is good enough for me!!!! ;-)

I want to ask my dr but I don't want her to think I'm overly anxious to return to work. I haven't even gotten my first disability check yet???!!!! (Have to check on that today.)

Anyway, I just registered for a coupld of online classes for the summer to at least get started back in classes. Since I will more than likely be having another surgery or two (I have to have a heel spur removed from my foot and possibly cosmetic work done on my girly parts) I'm going to keep it to just a couple of online classes for the next couple of semesters. Hopefully, in January I'll be ready for full-time classes. If so......one year from that I'll graduate!!!! Finally.....I'm on that 25 year plan, you know!

Anyhow.....I have my dr. appt at 10:00 then I'll be home so I'll talk to y'all then!

Good morning to you in North America,

There does seem to be some unease with this support network where a few of our significant others are concerned. Mine also alluded to the time I spend on HysterSisters. Early on I imagined he would be glad that I pursued this avenue rather than sitting alone feeling sorry for myself while he goes to work. I guess he must view my time on the site as less productive, then say, reading a book. Clearly this is such an intensely personal and womanly surgery - perhaps the lack of comprehension about why we are all engaged in this way is more of a Mars/Venus thing. Who knows.

I just love to read what all of you have written and the care for individual crises that has developed. It is a really good cyber support group and one that I would certainly advise any friend having a hyst to join.

I hope everyone has a good day today.

Good morning to everyone!!! It is a very cold morning in AR...38 degrees...BRRRR. I haven't posted in over a week, but I have been keeping up with everyone. It's good therapy just to know that we are all going through the same hurts, just at different degrees.

I had my 4 week post-op on last Friday. I seem to be healing quite well, or so the dr. says. I seemed to still be having some discharge at 4 weeks, so dr. said I have a bacterial infection and got some cream for that. That was really gross!!!! He also told me I could go back to work after this week, 1/2 days for 2 weeks. So I only have one more week of freedom....UGH! I sort of gotten used to being home and want to be home. I'm a homebody anyway. He also said no pushing, pulling, or lifting anything over 15 lbs. We'll just see how that goes.

Today is DD's 18th birthday and her boyfriend has planned a surprise birthday party at our house late this afternoon. I wonder if he is cleaning up after it? I kinda doubt it. If he only knew how I hate messes!!!!

Check in later........................Have a great day everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My boyfriend's 50th birthday is next week, and before surgery I had thought about throwing him a big party.
Thank goodness he insisted that he didn't want a party, how could I shop, cook & clean for a party at this time?! I had no idea what I was signing up for with a hyst!

Anyway, I am off to my massage soon (which I am still ambivilent about spending the money, but my poor body feels like it has been run over... so I am doing it.)

Denise, good luck with the online classes, that sounds like a good idea since you can do them in your jammies ; )

I am a bit concerned that my Dr will release for work on the 28th- I kind of need 1 more week off because I will be taking the "baby bar" exam on May 3rd, and I KNOW I cannot work that week, study every night, and pass, I simply do not have the stamina or brainpowe yet, still kind of foggy and unable to concentrate for long.

I pray she gives me that week off : (

good morning everyone! Looks like we all had a fine weekend. I had a wonderful weekend. Watched DD play soccer, got some groceries with my mom and went home to cook cupcakes and make my dip for my girlfriend's birthday party! What a fun night! A few friends I haven't seen since the surgury were very surprised about how good I looked. I felt wonderful after that! One friend who really needs a hyst asked all kinds of questions. I felt so knowledgeable! And I also told her to be where I am mentally, you have to be going in with a postive attitude, and be in a happy place. Hard when you are in pain, but just knowing you are doing the right thing. She is the same age as I am, 32, and also has 1 child. So it is a huge decision. So many people say "Oh you know you can just adopt". Ya I know that, but it still does not make this decision any easier. I wish so much I could have had 1 more. But it was not meant to be. And thats that. Plus DD is so busy with soccer, dirtbiking, school, and in the summer, beach time!! Ya its a rough life with her!!hehehe!I would not trade it for anything in the world! Oh and throw in golfing this year too.
I finally called wondering when I was going to be getting a cheque. The lady says they are still reviewing my claim, and it could be another 21 days! 21 DAYS!!!!!!!!!I said I have bills coming in what the hell do I tell the bill people?? Oh you have to wait till I get my money, then you can have yours?!!! Sorry sweatie in the real world it does not work that way! Where is the Government priorities????? I know one particular person who does not want to work, and gets EI every time he leaves a job! I have major surgury and can no longer have babies and I have to wait 6-8 weeks??????? HMMMMMMM, I am sooo going to start fighting this one!! Okay there is my rant, I am done with that or I could keep going and get everyones blood boiling and I do not want to!
I also learned I can run now!!!!!! MY MOm was peeing her pants doubled over laughing at me! I went up to their place and was going over to my truck when the noeghbours 3 huge dogs came barking down thier driveway!! Scared the crap out of me! 1 was a boxer, 2nd was a mastiff, and 3rd was a husky cross! I turned and yelled for my MOm and run back up their driveway! They are supposedly harmless, but when you have been bitten before!!!! Then we went for a walk, and today I feel okay. I still have this bloody headache! It will be 1 week tomorrow.
I think I am getting a kidney stone. I had an icepaick feeling near my right kidney over the weekend. Its gone now. BUt not like a knife. And my muscles in my ribs feel like they have been stretched and ripped.
I actually had about 8 hours of sleep!!!! Feel great this morning! I am sure my run yesterday will catch up to me today!!hehehe! I am laughing today about it! My Mom has never seen running like that before! Even DD almost peed her pants! All right I better go for now!! I am still off for anothe 3 1/2 weeks. I have a physical job, so I don't want to take any chances!
