I made it back from the outing to the doctor today, I am exhausted and posted all the sordid details in a seperate post. I am going to go to sleep now and hopefully not wake up until tomorrow!

I did take my pillow with me to the doctor and came in really handy. DH said I had the deluxe suite today. I had my pillow on the exam table, on my side curled up and almost snorring, I didn't have to wait in the waiting room.

My doctor laughed and told me not to move since I looked so comfortable....no internal exam, just chatting.

okie dokie.....so I was feeling more than fabulous on Wednesday, went to a luncheon and won some ruby earrings in a raffle.....and paid for it later in the day. So what was I thinking when I decided to drive my son to music lessons on Thursday? Needless to say, it was a bit over ambitious. I promptly came home and crashed and burned. I'm staying home today and doing nothing! This is so typical : )

I guess it's true.........I really am not superwoman.

hugs to all,

Feeling better

I think I figured out that the pain meds keep me awake and make me feel good. I haven't been going to bed until 2 am these past few nights. Then I end up sleeping until 7 then a 2 hr nap in the afternoon. After I take the pain meds I feel wonderful. It makes me awake and have an appetite. Weird? They used to make me sleepy and lightheaded.

Finally the gas has subsided and I feel much better. Been having regular BMs which is a god send. It's amazing how your bowels can make or break how you feel. I think I bended too much today because this evening when I went to give the girls a bath I felt some pinching on the left.

I honestly feel like I've been in a coma since the surgery. It's like I missed a whole bunch of stuff around the house and at the kids school. Didn't even send anything in for Easter. I'm still feeling a little moody and having some night sweats. The thrush is getting better. Tomorrow I'm going to find me some acidophilus since DH couldn't find it.

Thinking about taking these stinking steri-strips off tomorrow since it will be 1 wk. They're itchy. I have my 2 wk postop appt. next Friday. Not sure when I should go back to work, but the paper the nurse in his office filled out for my disability insurance says 4-6 wks. We'll see. I'm sure I'll enjoy being off once I'm up to par again.

I wish this site did have a chat room because I'm sure I'd bust a few stitches chatting with all of you.

I had my Hysterrectomy 3/12/2008. Recovery was horrible. I had a blood transfusion the works. But now that I am home I feel great still a little sore but getting better. I am just glad it's over with. The hardest thing I have had to do thus far. I had a Supracervical Laprascopy Hyster.

I have been paying deerly tonight for my escapades today. I told my hubby today how grateful I am for you ladies because I truly feel like I am sharing my recovery and not going it all alone. Love you guys! DH goes back to work tomorrow and kids are on springbreak so I am planning on sleeping a good deal. For now I am going to watch Big Brother Afterdark.
