i had surgery 03/10. came home the next day. My rt leg is still numb. I has lvh-bso with tvt sling. I feel really good. I have had hardly any pain, but am sooo tired. I sleep a lot. I decided (with my dr) not to do any hormone therapy yet. ( much discussion with other hyster friends). I am a little worried that may have been a mistake, but so far, so good. I am peeing a lot...but not on myself so...lol...am much improved.

I had my surgury Wed home Thursday afternoon.I had the laproscopic assisted vaginal hysterectomy, kept one ovary & cervix. My doc thought she would have to take both ovaries due to cysts so I'm happy I have one left! The hospital care was excellent so was the bed but nothing beats the sleep at home.I am feeling way better than I thought I would but taking it very easy, passing gas or anything from that end is chalenging but Ive been eatting soft foods, drinking alot & taking the softners.

Had my TVH, AP Repair, and sphinteroplasty on 3/10. I came home on 3/13. At this point, all the pain seems to be centered around the sphinteroplasty site. My surgery lasted for six hours. When I came to the most pain came from my legs, hips, and back from being in that awful "frog leg" position for six hours. I'm very bruised on the back side, too. Five days postop and we'll see what the next few days brings.

This is day 2 home from surgery. Pain is manageable but can get quiet uncomfortable at times. I slept from 9:30pm to 11a, got a good nights sleep. Pain pills and fever are making me tired. I've had a fever off and on since lastnight. Taking motrin for it but it seems to come and go. Spent most of the day sleeping

day 3 post-op - ever so slightly better today. As long as I stay on my schedule of pain meds (Advil and tylenol) I can keep the pain to a minimum and can actually rest comfortably. The recliner in the family room is where I spend my day with intermittent slow walks around the house. I had a shower today and washed hair! That felt great! Getting in and out of bed and getting positioned comfortably when I get in the bed are still the greatest challenges. I am normally such an active person that this is really strange to be laid up like this. I can only move in such slow motion and with such great caution so as to avoid the pain that certainly follows movement that is not slow and deliberate. I try and keep the SwellyBelly Band cold in my freezer when I am not wearing it, and then wear it over the incision for some great comfort! I figure each day that passes I am one day closer to being my active self again! My best wishes to all that are going through this now also! I am praying for those of you that are having difficulties that you post here about. Hang in there!

I am feeling a bit better today...day 4 post LSH. Having had bronchitis and coughing my lungs out, I am still in considerable pain, but down to one vicoden every 5-6 hours. Tried just motrin yesterday, but it did not hit it enough. I think the coughing made me more sore than normal. Hoping by tomorrow down to just motrin.

My family is being great about letting me take it easy.

Hey kiddos!!!

surgery 3/10/08 just got out of the hospital friday. Had some internal bleeding that caused initial concern then a fever for the rest of the week. Pain is manageable ...only thing I noticed is it doesnt take much for me to cry...my dr does not want me moving off the couch for two weeks...just walking around the house but at this point that seems ok to me.

Ps found out while in the hospital my thyroid is enlarged...I say anything else??????? Oh well I will be a new woman at the end. Lots of healing thoughts to you guys...glad to be back. Ilene
