Pam,

If it's any comfort, I dropped my cell phone in my car the day before my surgery and when I realized after surgery it was gone, I was convinced DH had somehow lost it in the hospital. Even though I reamed him out about losing the phone, DH kindly canceled the old phone and ordered me a new phone. About a month after my surgery, he found the "lost" phone in my car!

We have the same surgery date and I am finding that my memory is slowing getting better. I wish the same for you.

Thanks Bookworm. I wish I had not dropped it. No use crying over spilt milk.

I wanted to share this with all of you...A baby asked God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow, but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?" God said, "Your angel will be waiting for you and will take care of you." The child further inquired, "But tell me, here in heaven I don't have to do anything but sing and smile to be happy." God said, "Your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you and you will feel your angel's love and be very happy."Again the child asked, "And how am I going to be able to understand when people talk to me if I don't know the language?" God said, "Your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words you will ever hear, and with much patience and care, your angel will teach you how to speak." "And what I am going to do when I want to talk to you?" God said, "Your angel will place your hands together and will teach you how to pray." "Who will protect me?" God said, "Your angel will defend you even if it means risking its life." "But I will always be sad because I will not see you anymore." God said, "Your angel will always talk to you about Me and will teach you the way to come back to Me, even though I will always be next to you." At that moment there was much peace in Heaven, but voices from Earth could be heard and the child hurriedly asked, "God, if I am to leave now, please tell me my angel's name." God said, "You will simply call her, "MOM."
I love it!

Hello ladies! How is everyone today? Overall I'm feeling ok I still think I've got sometype of infections still. I know I say this everyday but I'm feeling it more often when I go pee. Where before it was just every other time. I think something really has to be wrong to keep having infections like me. I'll talk to my Dr when they call me tomorrow with my results. If she says the same thing that everyone heals different then I think I'll call my Dr who did the surgery.

Anyway, hope everyone has a beautiful day. So far I woke up to eggs benedict. I know it is really bad for you but it is so good! DD is going to do some laundry today and DH is cooking. Yea a day off from work...what shall I do with myself? Have a wonderful day sisters

Mkay, my 17 year old son forgot my birthday last week, even though I reminded him days before, and asked him to detail my car as a gift, so he wouldn't need to spend any money.
Now today he forgot Mother's Day.
I am hurt.
It's not that I need material things, he could washed my car, or made breakfast, or offered to help me refinish my new (used) table... something, anything....

Sorry Tuna....17 year olds are a bit on the egocentric side. Nothing to do with you. You are an incredible mom and that is what you need to remember. my DH has spent quite a few mothers day making mine special cause my boy teenager had other things to do.

Happy mothers day to everyone. Quite meaningful for us as we embark on a new stage in our lives...with new friends. Love you all!

I hear ya......my 20 year old called me just to tell me "Happy Mother's Day" and to inform he wouldn't be coming over. Okay, fine with me. He always causes a fight when he comes over anyway. I know, I know...most would say at least he called. But the thing is that he live 10 minutes away and he always finds a reason to come over when he needs/wants something. I thought it might be nice if he just stopped by on his way to work (he drives right past our stree) and personally say "Happy Mother's Day".

On the other hand......my 17 yo made me and my mother (who lives with us) breakfast in bed!!!!! My daughter came over and we watched chick-flicks all day.

Also, while I was still in bed recovering my daughter set up for a professional photographer to take their picture and then had it framed. It's beautiful and it is definitely something I will cherish forever.

This has been the perfect Mother's Day. Quite, no forced dressed up and going out, no arguments, heart-felt gifts, and all-day chick-flick marathon!!!!

I'm going to try to post the picture my daughter gave me on my photo section. I'm not sure if it will work or not but here's a link to the photographer's website that has out photos. <snip> Please read our TOS regarding links.

Happy Mother's Day to all!!!!!!
