Hysterectomy dates Mar 10-Mar 17,2008

Hi gals

I am just back from school, where I find I did NOT flunk the Property exam, despite my brain fog.

I am resting in bed now with the dog and the cat, until I have to put a SUIT on (my baggiest/softest, drapey fabric one!)and go to my Advisory Board dinner & meeting.

I expect that I will be home around 9:30PM and I fear that I will really be sore and pooped... but this is something I need to do professionally.

I have NOTHING on the radar for tomorrow and Friday, so I will have lots of time to rest. Boyfriend and I plan to spend tomorrow together, but, um, there's not much we could actually DO. Maybe take me for a walk on the beach, but that will last all of 20 minutes till I poop out!

Anyway, it will be nice to have a day with no errands, no Dr appointments, no school, no work...

But also no sex. darn it.

I did not sleep at all last night but took a 4 hour nap today. I feel better now. I must have my days and nights mixed up.

Boy I feel like a slug today, didn't get into the shower until after noon (that includes getting dressed). Did a little laundry and dishes and that is it. Don't understand but I am really really tired today. OH well, just a resting day is OK.
TunaCat nice to hear you didn't flunk that test, take it easy tonight and thank goodness nothing on the agenda for tomorrow.
Denise nice to hear you vist went well too, good luck.
Everyone else hope your day went well.

Slightly off-topic:

If I feel like going out tomorrow, I might drag scrumptious boyfriend to the fabric store - he will be thrilled.

I am looking for an economical tieback solution for my bedroom drapes- was thinking of using some kind of decorative trim, maybe a braided trim or something with little dangly poofs, or maybe just some satin ribbons...

The drapes never bothered me before but NOW I spend most of my day looking at them!

TunaCat: perhpas you can participate in a little outercourse with DB.... always an option.

Who knew that the grocery store was such a tiring place! Luckily my 3yo was wonderful, but about 1/2 way through I started hurting. I really didn't want to go back tomorrow (reasoning which also prompted a stop at antoher store having a great sale on chicken, strawberries and cereal) so I decided to just slowly troop on. I had only done wee little 5 item type trips since the surgery, so our cupboards were far too bare to just quit! Then when I got home I ended up making sereral trips up and down the stairs to carry the stuff in (only lifted a little at a time) and the 3yo helped. But all in all I didn't get the chance to sit until after 3pm. Whoa. I'm mostly wiped out. I could get up and do more, but I don't wanna. PHBLT!

I'm also having the pains that have popped up with several other sisters. I guess it's the combo of healing and being more active.

So after saying I could get up and do more, my son shattered a glass bowl on the floor. So I indeed got to get up and do more and I ended up on cleaning detail for a nasty scene where goldfish crackers had been brutally squished on the floor.. poor goldfish.

Screw it, I am ordering in Chinese food even though I have stocked cupboards! Chicken fettucine will have to wait until tomorrow!! DH will be home in an hour, then we're supposed to go to an open house for my DD preschool. We'll see!
hugs to all... and may we all continue getting better... albeit slowly.

I am back from the schmoozing professional dinner/painfully boring lecture on labor statistics.

It was great to see people whom I have not seen in a year, let them know I am still alive & kickin'.

Or at least, alive and shuffling!!

Belly twinges on & off the whole time sitting there, but more comfortable than last week.

Progress, girls, a little bit...

Tried going to sleep but not working so well for me, watching TV instead...blah.

How are all my sisters doing tonight? It seems like either everyone is pooped and asleep or you are all out partying without myself, SW34 or TunaCat.
