Well, Dad and Grandpa came over for Sunday dinner, and I was pooped from cooking (does heating a ham and making instant potatoes and gravy qualify as cooking?) so BF did the cleaning up.

My Dad seemed puzzled as to why I was not "all better" yet. Together we walked the dog and I just couldn't go far, because I was pooped from cooking and minor clean up this morning.

I have finally given myself permission to take the TIME to heal, and I rest whenever I can. I just wish other people would allow me the same courtesy. I get lots of emails from friends and co-wokers inviting me lunch/dinner dances, etc as if I am on vacation, and they just don't understand- I only do what I HAVE to do right now (lectures and misc. errands) because I am still recovering.

Kathie, some days are better than others, but I cannot imagine going to Europe in a couple of weks, holy cow. I would need one of those motorized scooters like at Wal-Mart!

I am gonna start to call you guys the knitting crew!

I had a good day. My DS cooked breakfast for me. It was a huge mess but they did a great job. I have been reading a good book and every once in a while folding a load of clothes. I was up more today so I had to take a pain pill because it felt like everything was falling out but otherwise a good day.

My dream is to go to Italy. Drink some wine and eat a great pasta meal for me! I recently started learning Italian. It is hard learn something new while on pain meds and having a foggy mind. My DH is learning guitar so I decided to learn something too.

Come stai?

Not many people online today...

Denise & TunaCat what are you watching? I'm watching HGTV I don't know why I haven't been watching this before. I have my real estate license but I am inactive right now. This is making me miss real estate! Oh well things happen for a reason.

I've been here all day. Except when the prodigal son (20 yo) made an appearance today just long enough to pick a fight with the 17 yo. They almost came to blows and there wasn't anything I could do about it. I couldn't even yell at them for fear of popping stitches. My poor mother was yelling at them.....what a nightmare. My 17 yo called the cops on my 20 yo. I had to call my dh home from duty to deal with the situation. This is just one of those things that I did not want to come back to. I thought it would magically disappear when I had surgery, you now....kinda like my uterus. Do you think the doc would trade my uterus back for two very immature young men??? Nah.....I guess not.

Anyhow....I'm watching Funniest Home Videos now waiting for Extreme Home Makeover comes on. Of course, I haven't cried enough today. I was watching TLC and HGTV all day and working on my little hats.

I'm sorry to hear that your kids are acting that way. They need a lesson of tough love. I'm in a different time zone, I too plan on watching Extreme Home Makeover edition. I always cry too! Since my surgery it isn't to hard to cry! I also plan on watching Oprah's Big Give. I like to watch shows were normal people get help.

Oh, yeah....I watch the Big Give, as well. 'Cause 1 hour of crying is never enough! Ugh......why do we torture ourselves, so?

May I share with you ChattyKnittyKat the Italian I know. Dh and I were in Venice and Tuscany in 2002. Totally loved it and hope to go back for a few weeks this fall.
The Italian I know is "Doveh il bannio" I spelled it more how is sounds than is probably correct. Translated it means.
"Where is the bathroom" I think it is the most useful phrase to know!!!!
Where are you going in Italy. Next time we go Dh and I would love to take in a Watercolour painting vacation, there or the south of France.
Have a wonderful time.
