Hi Karen:

Being only 13 days post-op, I have no idea how you should be feeling at 4 weeks post-op. However, I firmly believe that when in doubt, ask your doctor. Also, be good to yourself and listen to your body. We all heal at a different pace.

Take care,

Four weeks post-op ~ what should I expect?

I'm 4 weeks post-op. I'm walking more (distance wise) but still walking kind of slow and after walking for awhile, my stomach starts to feel heavy. I'm not requiring naps but I can't sleep until 1-2 am and wake up at 10-11 am. The pain is lessening. Today I only took 1 tablet of Naproxen (anti-inflammatory med). Once in awhile, my abdominal incision feels tingly or itchy. I'm not having problems with BMs or urinating. My swelly belly is slowly flattening and I think my abdominal binder helps with the swelling.
I'm still spotting and I mostly notice it more when I'm walking more or sometimes when I go to the BR.
Hope you'll feel better soon. Is the vertigo all the time or when you change position too quickly?
