Now I feel like I am last in line, since my date is 10th April. I am trying to do some nice things this weekend, like re-potting house plants. Also went out for a massage - with hot stones! Haven't tried them before but it was nice. I have wanted to go for a massage for weeks but was afraid to go due to heavy bleeding, but today I felt okay and went. My DH is out vaccuming the car - need to make the most of these last few free days before the big surgery. I know the waiting is hard, but it is also a bit of an eye opener when it is looming up pretty soon. Not many more weeks to count down now!

Scot's Gal and Shelley

Both of you sound like you have nice weekend plans. I have always wanted to try the hot stones too, but have not done so yet. I am going have lunch with a friend and my hubby is grocery shopping for me! Keep safe in the snow or other storms. We have had such a long winter!

I cannot wait! I want to get the show on the road!
I am having my last real period right now....
I would love to be on a buddy list with all of you and be able to go through this together. I am 34 and am soooo glad I found this site! I am still waiting to see what stage of cervical cancer I have...it looks like early stage but very scared. Will keep you all posted.
Best of luck, ladies!

Joanie: Welcome on board - we'll be thinking about you, sweet heart, and hoping all your results are good ones. What kind of biopsies did you have done so far - just smear tests, or hysteroscopy with scraping out a sample? My tests were all "inconclusive" but the surgeon said "cancer is easy to find" so she thinks it is no problem. Still, all of us are mostly happy to be having it all out soon. All the best!

Ah - Ontario - that means you are being seen on a nationalised health service same as I am in the UK. No insurance claims for us, since we pay for it through our taxes. I think we are much better off than our US sisters, who need to worry about what their insurance will cover. Mind you, if you have the money to go private, some people think that gives you more choice. But I say, thank you Lord for NHS health care.

Scots Gal,
I had colposcopy (sp?) and cone biopsy done. It was all very sudden and I had a bad/deep cervical infection that no one could find for aobut 6 months!

a bit nervously awaiting my surgery 29 April, although they want me there at 8 am. the day prior. Well....it's europe and they do things a bit of the old fashioned way. But they aren't old fashioned when it comes to technique and patient care.Still, i am a little anxious.
