I'm scheduled to have a TAH/BSO on Apr 21with my GYN, but on Apr 2 I go to a Surgeon for a consult on having my Gall bladder out I have been having trouble with that since Sept and they finally said it was that except i dont have stones it has been a very painful ordeal. I want to have both surgeries at the same time if i can so when I go to the surgeon I'm actually going to see if he will do both since the gyn wont. Cross your fingers girls, I dont want 2 recoverys. If the Gall Bladder surgeon cant do both but can do it somewhat close to the same date as the TAH I'm going to do him 1st as I have suffered in that pain not as long but it is not fun to be sick everytime you eat and that recovery is only about 1 -2 weeks. I can deal with 1 more month of period pain .

Just curious, how long did everyone have to wait after you decided to have your surgery until the actual day?
Thanks,

I found out what I needed to have done on Feb. 18th, they said they would call me about 2 weeks later to know my surgery date, well only a week later I found it it would be on April 2nd. As for my pre op app. that is March 20th. so from March 20th to April 2nd is how long I have to wait to have it done!

Susee1995~~ I hope you can have them both done at the same time hon, that will be hard trying to recover from having 2 different surgeries!

(((ladies)))

Just a gentle reminder that the "Friends Without Faces" forum is for fun and social chit-chat only, etc, and not for hysterectomy support. If you have any questions or concerns, please be sure to post them in the Pre-Op Forum.

Many thanks for your understanding and I hope you're enjoying your memberships!

I am hoping I can have my surgery in April. I don't go back for my consultation until March 7th to discuss what method the Dr. will be doing and to get a date for surgery.

Gosh, I am surprised to hear you can handle vacation... GOOD FOR YOU! It's all I can do to limp through my work day and whine through my weekend days... I took my little girl to the beach for two hours yesterday and was wiped out... and all I did was sit and watch the waves while she ran and played... I was just saying tonight that every single day sems to be a little more difficult, heavier flow... harder cramps... sore back... emotional... foggy... how much worse can it get it four weeks?

Have a great trip!
