Personality change after hyst? Have you heard about this?

I have experienced personality changes after my TAH (kept ovaries). I am less able to express my feelings and more withdrawn. Crowds make me nervous. The doctor said that this will go away but since I just delivered, he gave me Zoloft to ward off post partum depression. I hope that you feel better soon!

Not sure if it was anything to do with hysterectomy -it just happened right after and folks put 2 and 2 together.
Oh,no, I dye my hair blonde, and I have a sexy red sports car--- my DH better watch out.

I don't think the operation had anything to do with it.

That is just my humble opinion and it's not worth much.

I definitely had brainfog after my TAH/BSO - all the way to three months post op. I definitely think it was related to my hormonal balance being off. My doctor and I have been watching very closely and making adjustments here and there, so I'm hoping we finally found a good mix for me.

I feel clear now - back to my old self, and quite capable of staying organized and think through problems objectively. My memory is another story - I am still very forgetful, but I was pretty forgetful before the surgery! So I don't think it's necessarily related.

I really havn't noticed a personality change, well maybe alittle less tolorent. I was heading that way before surgery.

Well, they just called and said my truck was done. I had them install a "machine gun" on the hood for driving on the highways only.

Guess I did have a personality change, or maybe my REAL personality if coming out.
