WHEN do the terrible dreams stop?!?!?!

I have also had terrible dreams. My first nightmare was so real and it was like my subconscious remembered my surgery and replayed it ALL in a dream. I woke up crying and gasping at around 4 am....it was only my 4th night home.

In my dream, I saw them pull out my uterus and appendix through my vagina and felt hot blood running down my legs...it was so realistic and awful. I wondered, did my mind really SEE my surgery or am I dreaming this because I'm in pain? That was the worst one...I struggle every night to get a good night's sleep. I've only been getting 3 or 4 hours at the most and feel so emotionally and physically spent right now. I don't know how I am going to start work again....I'm hoping that if I start estrogen next week, it will make things better.

WHEN do the terrible dreams stop?!?!?!

thanks to the person who mentioned dreams and ibrupofen. i'm haning to take it as i have fluid ina cavity which is causing a burning pain, i don't think the drug is helping but i have had terrible nightmares in the hospital and every night since. It's been 5 weeks. Am quite anxious as I still have a lot of pain and am still mostly in bed so don't know if that is contributing to the dreans

WHEN do the terrible dreams stop?!?!?!

I also suffered from bad dreams and have responded to this post before. IMHO I don't thing the Ibuprofen is what causes the dreams. Before surgery I was on perscription 800mg IBU every 6 hours for 8 months to control my pain and not once had this problem...if anything I think my dreams were from either the Percoset or the anesthesia...

However I am day 12 post op (had to count on my fingers) and the last two days the dreams have stopped. Still on percoset.

The narcotics you are on for post op take a bit to clear out of your system. This may be a very large piece of your problem. It sure was for me.

WHEN do the terrible dreams stop?!?!?!

I had a dream I had a baby. I didnt give birth to it but it was just there. Now that I cant, that's frustrating. But it was a good feeling dream eventhough it ended up the baby was gone but in good hands. Dont know how it got away. I did watch Family Guy that night too, so... I stopped taking meds on day 3. Then took one yesterday afternoon due to the pain. I have not been having any dreams that stand out. I have been sleeping pretty good after day 3.
