pain with intercourse-on one side only?

Dh and I waited until 8wks post op to have sex. I had a TAH, A&P repair and a bladder sling with fascia (not quite sure how to phrase the last part)-anyway, because of all that, dh and I waited. When we had intercourse dh was very patient, we used lubricant, etc ,etc-but I was very sore afterwards, on just one side. I can feel the difference, dh can feel the difference when we make love, but afterwards it only feels rubbed on the one side. Is this normal? It goes away pretty quickly and we have had intercourse a couple more times since then and it still is the same. Is it because of the new and improved shape down there? Also does anyone else feel like chopped meat inside (sorry-hope no one is offended). Dh says he notices no difference except for tightness, but to me it feels gross in there. Thanks for your help. Mel
