Night time peeing (five weeks post-op)

I will be 5 weeks post op on Thursday and I am so glad for this post. I was going to ask if anyone else was having this problem. Before my surgery, I used to go about every 2 hrs but the doctor said it was because a fibroid was on top of my bladder. I was so happy after the surgery because I thought that would be over, but its not! I go about every 2 hrs all night long and have been every night since the surgery. I think I have the same sensation on just a weird feeling after my bladder is empty, its not pain, just weird. I'm going to talk to my doctor at my 6 wk check up because its going to make going back to work much harder.

Thanks sisters!

:-) I had to call my doctor for other reasons, and I brought this up. He said get used to it....my response was "WHAT??!! GET USED TO IT!!?? You don't understand I used to be a camel, get up pee, pee in the evening and pee before bed that is it, now it is like I am making a career out of peeing and sleeping!" He responded "well the sleeping will subside, enjoy peeing!" LOL At any rate, I have found if I curb liquids around 6:00pm other than a sip for nighttime meds I can sometimes make it at least most of the way through the night. I hope this helps..... Good luck!!

Night time peeing (five weeks post-op)

I think it means we are going to be peeing more than we did before, he did say that they had to manipulate our bladder a bit so right now it is traumatized, so it is overly sensetive, but it won't be like it was ever again.
Seriously....sorry.....I was distraught when I talked to him and in pain. I told my husband this is torture. When I finally do get to sleep or get the pain to subside from my fall in the shower or in the beginning especially, I have to pee and there it is again.........so what do I do!? I am hoping it will continue to improve.

See a urologist. Add one to your healthcare team. Also think about Pelvic Floor Biofeedback. Ask your GYN.
