Anyone still not sleeping?

I am wondering if sometimes we aren't sleeping at night because we have been good and tried to rest during the day so we can heal. Then, at night, our bodies are not tired because we haven't "worn them out" like we did before surgery? It seems that on days that I am very busy I sleep better at night. For example, yesterday, I homeschooled my 13 yr old, went to the gym and walked on the treadmill for 45 min, took a shower/got dressed, went to choir practice and then to the grocery store--got home just before 10 pm. I was very tired and slept well. On days that I watch movies or read most of the day, I don't sleep through the night so well.

I don't know. Just a thought.

Anyone still not sleeping?

I'm thinking the same thing, I go back to work next week full time. I'm just betting that i'll be sore and exhuasted and sleep like a rock. I start at 7 am so I'll have to start getting up at 5:30 Am again instead of rolling out of the nest at 9 or 10 or 11 like I have been the last 5 weeks. I'm looking forward to going back to work and dreading it at the same time.

Anyone still not sleeping?

I had my surgery 3/14/2008. I lay in bed for what feels like hours before being able to fall asleep. I have Lunesta but it makes me feel really terrible the next morning. I am on HRT which I am taking at dinner time...... could that be the problem? I don't know, all I do know is by the time I fall asleep my dreams are crazy! I wish I could do something productive while I'm awake BUT I really don't want to get out of bed. So, I try to relax all my bady parts...... then I have to pee. will this nocturnal nightmare ever end?

Anyone still not sleeping?

Ok, I feel there is now hope. My Dr. prescribed some ambian but I just hate to take the stuff. I hear so many strange things can happen. I usually like to go as natural as possible. My DH has alot of trouble staying asleep and he doesn't like sleep aids much. I am like many others, before surgery I would have maybe one night out of 2 weeks where I had a problem, now it is every night. Thanks again, and I will post any itmes that seem to work for me.

Anyone still not sleeping?

I am using ambien every night for the last 6 weeks. If I do not, I cannot sleep. Even using it I only average about 4 1/2 hours straight sleep. I know that this medication can be addictive so I am concerned about that but sleepytime tea did not work at all.
