Anyone's DR approved 8 weeks off???

Hi Brilamar,
Yes, my doctor wants me off 8 weeks. She initially had me off 6 weeks, but I'm having some issues with fatique and they're running tests to see if they can figure out what's going on. I became anemic in the hospital and that still hasn't gotten resolved. Also, I had an ablation 2 weeks before my TAH on 3/4 and had a vaginal fibroid removed, so 3 surgeries in 2 weeks pretty much wiped me out.
Anyway, that's the basis for the extra time off.

Take care,
Lisa

Anyone's DR approved 8 weeks off???

I went back at 7 because I ran out of paid leave, but my doctor would have given me longer if I had asked for it.

Anyone's DR approved 8 weeks off???

I went back after 7 1/2 weeks. Doc wanted to write me off till after the New Year, which would have been over 10 weeks, but I didin't have enough time.

Just had a lap done last Tuesday, and took a week and a half off, but he told me if I changed my mind and wanted to wait another week or two to let him know and he'll write me off longer. This one is unpaid though, so have to go back Sunday anyhow.

My gave me 6 weeks and then an additional 2.

I went back a week early because I was affraid that any more time off and I wouldn't want to go back. The first week was ok because it was part time. The second week was tough. But I believe that the first full time week was going to be tough regardless of when it was - 6 weeks or 8 weeks.

Anyone's DR approved 8 weeks off???

My dr. gives 8-10 weeks for TAH. I think she knows that my job is kind of long and stressful. I really want to take 10 weeks but I'm starting a new job and they said they won't hold the position any longer if I extend my medical leave. I'm taking 8 weeks-back to working on April 9.
