Period over party any ideas...

I've started planning my period over party. I wanted to wait until I recover so I could enjoy the party. I was in a lot of pain prior to my hyster. I'm stuck on a few parts and wanted to see if anyone had some ideas that they were willing to share...

Decorations- since most of my parties seem to end up in the kitchen I thought I would put pads on my cabinet doors. My sister wants to make me a necklace out of tampons. Any other ideas using pads or tampons?

Drinks-our theme is red so I'm going to serve punch for those who don't drink daiquiris, and red wine. Can anyone think of any other red drinks?

Games-did anyone play a game during their party, what kind of game did you play? Would you play games at this type of party?

I'm stuck in these areas and any suggestions would be appreciated!
Thanks!
Shelly

HAHAHA! Pads on the cupboards...priceless!!

I didn't have such a party, but it sounds like fun.

Drinks...how about Shirley Temples? They're so simple to make and can also be made virgin.

Cranberry juice? Tomato things? Tampons from the chandelier? or hanging around the edge of the tablecloth. Raspberry or strawberry sorbet, 'red velvet cake' (recipe on food.tv.) and for other decor.... vases filled with Advil, Midol etc.!

Gosh, I wish I was invited! ha!

But..... you've got to ask everyone to dress in their best white pants or skirt. 'Cause now we can wear them all of the time!!

Oh... and for the game.

How about getting a full sized picture of a 'super model' and play PIN THE PAD ON THE DONKEY. Sorry... I just had to.

Hey... I'd fly in from Canada!! You have a great idea and it sounds like a hoot!! Have a wonderful time and a great summer wearing your whites! Now I'm going to spend the rest of my afternoon thinking of decor. It's like the song that doesn't leave your head!

Period....OVER......party!

Hi SW34!

I think it's a great idea to celebrate because it is....something to celebrate! Have a wonderful time. I'm celebrating it too. My family celebrates everything - what's life without celebrations?

Here are some ideas:

Invitations: Write the party invitations on panty shields and mail them in red envelopes!

Attire: Every person attending has to wear something red. Every person has to have their nails painted red too!

Gifts: Buy every person a red or pink, plastic necklace to wear (you can get them in the toy section or party favors section of Walmart, Rite Aid, etc.).

Decorations: red streamers, red balloons, red roses, red tablecloth, red plates, red cups and red napkins.

Food: red jello, salad with tomatoes, red apples, red/purple grapes, BBQ chips, red M & M's, red Lifesavers, strawberry ice cream, white cake with red frosting, sugar cookies with red sprinkles.

Drinks: Cranberry juice, Strawberry soda, Hawaiian Punch, Berry flavored tea.

Music: "Here Comes the Sun!" by the Beatles.

Game: Have every person who is attending the party put $5.00 or more on the table. Place a trash can at the far end of the room. Gather all of your leftover tampons and pads and put them in a box. Have each person there, take turns throwing the tampons and pads (like a basketball) across the room and try to get them into the trash can. The person who gets the most 'baskets' wins all the money!!!!!!!!!!

End of party: Everyone takes home a red balloon and a baggie full of red M & M's tied with a red ribbon.

May I be invited to your party??!! Hee Hee!!

Enjoy!! Best wishes.

Hugs, Irish Bridie
