Infection?

Hi - 10 days post-op. It's late Friday night, and I have my post-op dr. appt/staples removal on Tuesday. I think my incision might be infected. It itches more, there is redness and a slight odor. It's not oozing (whew). I plan to call the doc first thing on Monday... Is there anything I can/need to do in the meantime? Thanks!

Infection?

If you think you have an infection developing, you might want to try to reach your doctor today or to call the ER and ask to speak to the physician on call. You want to start treatment as soon as possible if it's becoming infected. Waiting until Monday would make an infection more difficult to treat. Let us know what the dr. says.
