This one is for Little Woman, I get my premarin at Walmart and it is cheap. I really can't remember exactly how much & I'm not sure what you are paying now but I would check it out.

I got my premrin from walgreens and it was about $17 for a month supply. However, that was after my insurance picked up some of the cost. I think it depends on your insurance as to how much you will need to pay.

I am on Premarin also, the lowest dose, for about 7 weeks now. I , however, am having many side effects, and its not a good fit for me. So, I am taking myself off of mine, I have just not felt good at all for Weeks now. I feel worse now than I did before my surgery, as far as being sick and lethargic.

It is not because of my surgery, I am completely healed from that.. I have even gone back to work, but partime only for now. I am trying to find a new doctor, one that will be more in tune to Me and my own menopause issues, rather than my doctor GYN that did my 2 surgeries. he has no bedside manner, he is condescending and rude .

I am doing research of other HRT's drugs, and have found lots of good advice here. it may take me a while to find the right one for me.

I hope you find one that works for you. I understand the feeling of the side affects!

I've been taking Premarin for about 3 weeks and my night sweats are gone and the few flashes I have are not as severe. I get my prescription at Target and I pay $10.00 after my insurance pays their part. Hopefully I can stop taking it after next week, but if I need to keep taking it, I'll get it from Walmart because I've heard that its only $4.00 there.

Good luck to all of you, this HT stuff can be very confusing. I read "Our Bodies Ourselves, Menopause" and it has a lot of good information on this entire process.

What is everyones dosage of Premarin? What are your ages? What kind of surgery? I'm on 1.25 mg once a day, age 44 and I had a TAH/BSO with endo on Feb. 6th and started Premarin very next day. Just wondering why I'm on such a high dosage. Any help would be appreciated.

I'm 34 and had a LAVH BSO. I also have endo. My dosage is 1.25 mg once a day. I started it yesterday so far it seems to be ok. I don't know how long you have to wait to see if you develop side affects. Originally I was on the Climara patch 0.1 mg/day changing it every 7 days.
