any tips for steri-strip adhesive removal?

I finally pried off my last two steri-strips, figured a month was long enough after my LAVH.
However, the adhesive is proving much tougher to remove.
Any suggestions?
I was thinking of using some sort of edible product like Extra Virgin Olive Oil or something...nothing like Goo Gone or nail polish remover.
Thanks in advance for the tips.

I've always used baby oil to remove the sticky left behind.

I found that liquid make-up remover works really good. First just dab it on with a q-tip and wait a few minutes, then put a little more on a tissue or sponge and it rubs right off with no pain! Good luck!

vitamin E oil, then when you shower, little bath scrubbby with soap, vit. e oil again. good for the scar, helps get the goo off. takes a couple of days to get all of it off...a month seems a long time to have had them on; mine were on only about 10 days after staples were taken off.

I read a post here about taking a shower first to loosen the steri strips. It worked for me. The adhesive came off with the strips.
