I am back...

just had my TAH yesterday. didnt get much sleep the night before , left home around 4:45am. was wheeling into OR by 7:45 am.. took a clonopin berfore i left home by the time i got to hospital i was feeling it's effescts.
everything went so fast. i was in the OR for over 9 hours...cant really remeber anything..
ran into a few complications i had adhesions everywhere, one really bad on my bladder, so i have a lovely bag i need to wear for a few weeks untill things get better in there.. Dr kept 1 overie. got all the cancer it was all contained in the uterus,,oncolist said she was sending it to lab and didnt think i woild neeed any further treatment..
lost a ton of blood 3 transfusion. I'll need 1 more tonight my hemocrit is still low...so i am getting some more blood...my surgery took so long that they didnt do the posterior repair I will have to back for that at a later time.
I cant believe i am actually here telling you girls all this...
I have to say that the anxiety pre-op was the worst and i am glad this is almost over.I asked my OB on a scale of 1-10 how bad was everything he said a 9.. wow...
i am on a pump for pain meds. dieladid...helps alittle bit but doesnt last for a long time..i have central line in my neck to help with my lack of veins.I will post some more a little later on as i can feel my brain getting tired from all this...

welcome , and congratulations the hard part is over ! I had to have transfusions also, my hemo was dangerously low, they make you feel so good !
May I offer some friendly advice ?- I had felt so weak and tired for so long, when i finally got the transfusions i felt like a new person ! i didnt want to rest , i had too much energy, and the pain meds, made it all the easier ! lol.. even in the hospital, i would zoom thru the halls with my Iv,, telling the nurses " look out - here comes Speedy Gonzales " lol... I paid for it later tho.Just a word of caution for you. I am glad your feeling better and Im so happy your getting great care, and our prayers will continue to be with you.. Many Hugs and lots of Prayers !
