I am back...

Welcome to the otherside Scare D Cat.

It's so nice to see you, and so soon after surgery.

Make sure to listen to your body and take care of yourself.

Don't be in such a rush to get home. lol At least there, you don't have to deal with some fuzz ball laying out of your reach on the carpet, or in my case, a shovel laying out on the patio that I wasn't able to bend down and pick it up. After it laying there for 8 days, I finally got ds to pick it up and put it away. lol

i hope i feel better after the transfusion.. i was doing alot better this morning then i am right now,,ouch... you are so right the anticapation of the hyste was the worst part. everythin just seeems to be at a stand still, now there is so much going on , very fast...paced..i am itching like crazy i told the nurses and they are trying to get some anti- icth lotion..i think it is the antibiotic i took earler, they gave me some benedryl to see if that would help..you know i feel stressed about the blood they are giving me... it's kinda creepy knowing it is a srangers blood.. i couldnt donate my own blood b/c i was anemic, so i am a little weirded out...

I am back...

I know what you mean about the stranger's blood. A few years ago I had emergency abdominal surgery and needed a total of 11 UNITS of blood during surgery.

The itching might be from the narcotic pain meds too. I had that reaction to morphine.

I am back...

i m allergic to a lot of meds.. and the clear tape they use here so i always tell them to use the paper tape, so as i lay here i have to wear the boots to prvent clots.. i am icthyy on my legs the most and wasnt sue if it was them or the actual antibiotic they were giving me... i have compression socks on now and hope that if it is the boots i have a barrier to keep it away from skin..
i cant look at the blood they are giving me...it gets me to jittery...i thank god for those people who donate but i keep thinking to myslf , all kinds of stuff,, so i need to now get some sleep b/c my pain meds arereally kicking in now. i have had my head bobbing, and can berly keep my eyes open..so i'll check in m later

I was itching too and the nurses gave me benedryl it helped me. It also knocked me out so I slept like a baby until they could come and take my vitals. Sweet dreams!

scare d cat - wow, 9 hours...even with all the scans and stuff they do, sometimes the docs don't know exactly what they are dealing with til the actual surgery.

You seem to be in really good hands, and the nurses are keeping tabs on you.

Hope you get lots of rest, and that you DO get pampered when you get home...you SO deserve that!

I am back...

scare d cat....glad to hear that the cancer was all contained and that, even though you had some complications, you seem to be doing well, emotions-wise.

It is so much better being on this side of this.....the anticipation is over. You will be surprised at how fast time will pass and you will be saying "I can't believe that it was a year ago!"
