4 yrs later still have pain & bleeding

I am getting discouraged. It's been 4 yrs on April 1st and I still have pain and bleeding. Over the years the pain would come and go , only staying for a week or two but progressively has been getting worse. Now I am at point where I have no quality of life. I can barely get myself out of bed , taking care my 3 yrs old that we adopted 2 yrs ago is so hard and the abdominal pain and swelling is awful!
My gyno continues to say it's not his problem to go back to my family doc. My family doc sent me for many tests incl. a cat-scan which showed enlarged lympnoids. He then sent me to a surgeon to deal with this. Saw surgeon today, he says lymnoids are nothing of concern but will redo cat-scan in 3 months and then 6 months to make sure. Says vaginal bleeding definetely not normal nor it the amount of pain but he can't help me ...go back to family doc. and start again, find a second opinion with another gyno. Just great!
Seing family doc. this coming Monday. Getting so discouraged, I have been in agony since November. I have oxcycocet for the pain but I can't do anything... barely got through doing groceries today. Any bit of exercise flairs it right up. Does anyone have any suggestions or does this sound like anything you've experienced and have time to share. I just turned 37 on April 1st , on my hysterversary too and well there's got to be something that can be done.
Please share anything that may give me ideas or hope and encouragement

I'm so sorry you're going through this - how awful and sad
Do you still have your cervix ? Is the bleeding mini-periods ? Thats the only way it could be "normal". If you don't have your cervix or the bleeding is constant I would definitely go to a different gyno - I can't believe your current gyno is blowing you off like this !

Second opinions are the best thing in the world sometimes. You get a fresh pair of eyes and a new look at a situation. I would def see another gyno.

Hopefully this will soon be resolved. Keep us posted please.

4 yrs later still have pain & bleeding

Thank you for your kind words.
As to your question- No I do not have my cervix nor do I have my ovaries. So , why am I still bleeding 4yrs and why am I in so much pain and yet my gyno after 4yrs of my complaints still insists it's not his problem to go back to my family physician. Why is it so hard for him to think there were complications with this surgery. I truly believe he's so arrogant that he believes he's a God with a knife in hand.
I never once claimed it was an error he did... maybe I did too much after the surgery and I ruptured myself, who knows until someone finally decides to go check.
I see my family doc. with my husband along side as strength in numbers... to see if we can arrange a second opinion somewhere out of town so that I get an unbiased opinon.
Pray for me

4 yrs later still have pain & bleeding

So Sorry to hear about your bleeding and discomfort. It sounds like you do need another opinion. My sister had her Hyster 3 years ago and she is having a lot of abdominal pain ( no bleeding though). Her doctor believes her endometriosis is back or she has abdominal adhesions that are causing the pain. They are trying medication first...Lupron and if that doesn't work in 3 weeks she is going to have laproscopic surgert to see what is going on inside. Her pain is pretty intense at times...comes and goes like yours. Hopefully your medical doctor can refer you to another good GYN. Good luck and hang in there....Miss Trixie

If you have no cervix then the bleeding can only be coming from your vaginal cuff or from a fistula. I assume your doctor did a physical exam ? I really think you need to see someone else - your ob/gyn does not seem like the caring doctor you deserve.

Yes please go get a second opinion. Don't worry yourself thinking it is your cuff or a fistula. Only a DR. can tell you what is wrong with you. I agree sometimes it's the best thing you can do is get a second opinion and strength in numbers, having your DH go with you. Please let us know how you make out. I will be praying for you.
