Two weeks post-op basket case?????

Sounds like it's hormonal. Don't you just love those little buggers? I am on HRT and have yet to have that part of the post-op process hit me. I was severely menopausal for quite some time before the surgery and took natural estrogen and progesterone to help out, until they put me on the pill. After the surgery I was on the patch immediately the next day. I haven't had any ups and downs yet, and know I will have to be on the patch for a while, as I suffer from chemical depression and anxiety attacks in general. So, my body can't handle much going on with it chemically or I go into an episode of one sort or another. Thank god for HRT. The natural stuff helped me a ton, so I can only believe the patch will as well.

Good luck, and talk to your doc...

Radarlove-

Even though you kept an ovary, it is healing from being handled in surgery and potentially some loss of blood supply. Also, if you had an enlarged uterus it may have been pressing on the ovary, suppressing it. So, now it is trying to find its equilibrium and do the job of two! Keep your chin up!

(Just for comparison, I kept both my ovaries but had a lot of ups and downs afterward as they healed and tried to return to functioning after being suppressed by a 22-weeks size uterus. I'm 4 1/2 months out from surgery now and can still tell that they are trying to adjust. But, things are much better. I tell you this to give you hope and take the pressure off you.)

Best wishes for happy healing!

Thanks for all of your support and wisdom. I'm hangin' tough, and being really selfish doing things that I enjoy to lift my spirits (until nature takes it's course, and gets back on track)
