I'm going through this exact thing except that I'm 12 weeks post op. I posted about it last night. Hopefully I'll get some answers, or at least some guesses, from my gyn today.

A certain amount of bleeding, early in recovery, is usually part of the healing process. It could also possibly be due to overdoing it, but you're very wise to check with your doctor.

It may help you read this HS article <link> Bleeding Post-Op.

Please don't be concerned about mini-periods as they're not even a possibility since you don't have your ovaries.

Will you let us know what your doctor says? Try not to worry too much.

I just posted about this on my own thread. I didn't see yours when I started the other one. I don't know if I have my cervix. I have one ovary. The gyn I trust said it's likely a mini period since I've been feeling pms-y on and off for the past week. I see her tomorrow afternoon.

bleeding...I'm scared...(updated)

Hi,

I just spoke to my doctor and says its not to worry...its part of the healing process...I asked him what causes this to happen, he said that sometimes our bodies hold on to some of our hormones and causes the cervix to bleed?

does that make sense to you? sounds kind or strange, but I am not a doctor. He just says to try to rest as much as I could for a couple of days and if the bleeding gets heavy to call him. I even have some cramping too....

last night, while in bed, I sneezed, and it felt very painful, I thought that might of done it, also I went to church for the first time yesterday and sat for 3 hours, maybe I overdid that. who knows.

any thoughts?

thanks,
blessings,

Estrogen can be stored in body fat and the adrenal glands, so that's what your dr means by the body holding on to some. But with the cramping, it sounds like the sneezing or sitting at church could've did it.
