I too am not feeling to good the last few days. I have different symptoms. Hopefully someone will be along with similar symptoms. Did your hyster involve a bladder sling? What type of hyster? I had a LAVH BSO, could it be due to the type of surgery you had? I hope you feel better soon!

Bladder or pelvic pressure ~ any suggestions?

I had a abdominal hysterectomy with removal of the tubes and ovaries. My doctor did not do anything with my bladder that I am aware of. I am worried that he may have to go back in....

Ok, hummm. I don't blame you. I had 3 surgeries in the last year ending with my hyster. I'm sure there are sister's who had this type of hyster. Maybe what your feeling is related to the type of hyster. I don't know I'm just trying to help you to feel better. Did your Dr say that the pressure is part of healing due to an abdominal hyster?

I guess just laying down with feet up and a cold pack might help with the pressure. Over the weekend I had alot of pressure in the bum area, like I needed to have a BM. But nothing ever came of that. If I sit too long and stand up I feel like everything is going to fall out of my woohoo. Not a nice feeling. I would phone the Doc back. Have you had a follow up yet? Hope you feel relief soon.

Bladder or pelvic pressure ~ any suggestions?

It may be a bladder infection. I had one at my one week post op. After being on two different rounds of antibiotics and then a shot, lots of cranberry juice I finally got over mine. It's normal to have bladder spasms which are very painful contraction like spasms in the bladder/pelvic area. If this is the problem they can prescribe Pyridium to help. Good luck to you! Your all in my prayers!!

Bladder or pelvic pressure ~ any suggestions?

I had bladder issues about 12 days into my post op. I was on one round of antibiotics for an infection which didn't work. I was also leaking urine and it was very painful internally to urinate. The pain and pressure were extreme. I went to the dr about this. He took a urine sample, it came back with bacteria in it (infection) he put me on a different medication. I am currently taking that. It feels wonderful to be able to sit down to pee and actually empty my bladder completely and NOT pee my pants anymore!!!! The dr treated the infection but also told me that bladder problems are very common during recovery because the bladder is moved and manipulated during the surgery. I know how frustrating it is....
