How long does it take Lupron to get out of your system and hormones to return to normal levels? I had my last Lupron injection 2/13.

I think it's about 3 months. My doc said that it peaks around 6 weeks after you get the shot and falls from there. She gave it to me in December to try to shrink my uterus for surgery in March. It worked....I was able to have a TVH.

Did you have a series of 1 month shots or a single 3 month shot? That will obviously make a difference.
I found that, at about 6 weeks after the final shot, everything started returning to normal. I was on the monthly shot which needs repeating every month to keep the drug at its most effective ...
Of course, what complicates matters, is that a hysterectomy can cause hormone problems anyway with, for example, the ovaries going into temporary shock due the trauma of surgery.
So, if you feel that you still have Lupron in your system, it may also be a possibility that your ovaries haven't settled down following surgery yet.
I hope your recovery is going smoothly!

My last injection was 12/13/07. I got a period in mid-January (my last on EVER!). I took the 1x per month injections for 6 months.
Take good care of yourself!

Let me add....I had my first and only 3 month injection on 12/13/07. I had my only and last period at the end of January. I did have some pretty bad headaches around week 6, that's when my dr. told me that the lupron was probably peaking at that point.
