Blistering above stitches ~ anyone else?

Greetings sisters--

March 24 TAH. Kept ovaries. My surgery went very well Monday. I am a little swollen. I am in my second week of healing and I feel very well. I have noticed that there is a little blister above the stitches. I dont know why the skin is blistering. I had pinched the blister to move the fluid but it left a dark mark on my skin. Have anyone experienced any blistering above the stitches?

You probably haven't gotten any responses because that isn't particularly common. Please call your doctor about it, because I can't imagine what would make you blister. You wouldn't want to risk infection so close to your incision, either.

Hope it is ok.

Sounds like a little infection under the skin. I experienced a small area that wouldn't heal properly as it was a stitch that had grown under the skin. The area kept filling with poison. I had several courses of antibiotics until it cleared up. You might have this or a small hematoma both of which need treatment from an experienced doctor. Best wishes.
