Blood test results back...does anyone know what they mean?

I finally got a Dr to take actually take blood test to see where my hormone levels might be (my endo did; as my obgyn would not)... I have the results, but have no clue what they mean.
I feel that I am lacking something. My endo would not even touch on the "female issues" to explain anything to me, stating I need to go to my obgyn for that- I have asked several time for bloodwork to see if I am lacking something due to my symptoms, and they didn't feel the need for it. (God help me, as I know I need to find a new group of Dr's but there aren't any close to me)... anyways maybe some of you ladies can help me.

Testosterone - 30 ng/dl
FSH, Serum - 7.4 mIU/mL
DHEA - 114 ug/dL
Free T-4 - 1.00
TSH - 2.19

Do any of you know what these mean?

Blood test results back...does anyone know what they mean?

Every lab has a set of "normal" values they use as their standard. Sometimes this can vary from lab to lab. You need to contact the lab where your values were studied and obtain their normal values range. Then you can compare your results to their ranges and see where you are. Glad you finally got someone to listen and help!

You should ask for a copy of your report to see where your results fall within their reference ranges. It is also helpful to find a doctor who can help you interpret the results. Keep looking, sometimes it takes some work to find the right one.

To find a certified menopause doctor in your area, you might try the North American Menopause Society website. They have a referral link. That may help. My doctor is insistent that all women should have a copy of their blood test results. Not only is it your right, but it shows the ranges as our other hystersisters have said. Good luck.
